< "If little by little you stop loving me, eventually I'll do the same." >
"I don't think it's such a good idea for you to go to work so soon,"
I sighed as I closed my car door and walked towards the garage entrance. "Don't worry Ava, I'm fine. I need to distract myself anyways," I lied as I ran my hands through my hair.
I've used up all my vacation days and, even though I've been working at the auto shop for ages, our boss isn't easily swayed.
"I'm sure he'd understand if you say you're heartbroken-"
"I'm not heartbroken." I said sharply.
"I'm fine." I added and we both went silent.
"So I got rehearsal-"
"Yeah I have to go too-"
"Okay bye," she said awkwardly and I cut the phone.

"Riley! You got another customer!"
"Just give me a sec to finish up here!" I yelled as I wheeled out from below the car and stood up. I dusted my hands off and jogged to the front desk where my boss stood filling in the checkbook.
He looked up and smiled before pointing behind me. I turned around and walked towards the car but I slowed down as my hairs stood on end. I curiously scanned the car and prayed it wasn't what I thought it was.
Please don't be him.

"You got a customer." Avalon said as she strolled past me and I gave her a thumbs up before sitting in the drivers seat.
I put the keys in and twisted it. The engine roared to life and I smiled to myself in content.
I took the keys out, jogged to the front desk, and hanged the keys on the board for cars that are ready for pickup. "Okay, which one?" I asked as Avalon handed me the clipboard with the information but the form was blank.
"Is this a joke?" I asked as I showed her the board and she shrugged. "Hell if I know. The person didn't fill out the form." She responded before moving away to help other customers.
"So what am I meant to do with this?!" I asked and she waved me off. I sighed in frustration before walking towards the vechile. It was a van with a brightly coloured logo on the side of it.
An aged man stepped out and looked around uncomfortably. I slowly approached him with the clipboard in hand and he smiled slightly as he saw me coming.
"Hi, is there anything I can help with?"
He looked around with a confused look and started speaking in a different language, which I recognised straight away. I know a bit of italian here and there but that's only because of Gio.
I cleared my throat awkwardly, "hai bisogno di aiuto per qualcosa?" (translation: do you need help with anything?)
