The door was propped open with a flower pot. The flower sat wilted in the soil. We walked forward and saw a snoozing person at the front desk. Lars glanced at the cafe, and I took that to mean I should sit there. I walked over to a spot by the giant window and looked out at the calm ocean. It was as if the resort was suspended over the water. I relaxed my head back and closed my eyes for a moment. I was awoken by the sound of Lars pounding on the desk. Then followed by the noise of someone waking up from a nap. "Hey!" yelled someone. I peered around the corner and saw a boy with black hair that swept over his eyes. Lars pounded on the table again and the boy seemed to glare at him. "What do ya want?" He snapped. Lars adjusted himself. "I'd like a hotel room." His voice stern and forceful. "Listen, I have one on the first floor. Good enough?" Lars nodded. I got up and headed over to him. His brown-black hair was still spiked up from the wind during the minecart ride. The boy tossed us the key and Lars just barely caught it. We bounded up the stairs, excited.
Our room was the first one on the left. It had a king sized bed, some nice foliage and a desk. I flung myself onto the bed and the it rattled under my weight. The sheets wrinkled around me and I stared up at the ceiling. The wood was made out of birch and had little scratches etched into it. Lars flopped next me. A huge breath of air forced out of his lungs. "This is so peaceful" he commented. I turned over and stared at him. My eyes scanning his face. His eyes followed me and we looked directly at each other. Then in unison jolted our eyes apart as if nothing happened. "Swim?" I said quickly. "Swim." He answered in the same tone.
I pushed myself up into a sitting position. Suddenly I was interrupted by the sound of a Japanese anime. "What the hell is that?" I yelled. The sound was coming from the ceiling. I could see the wood shaking wildly. Lars sat up and looked at the dancing ceiling. He stared at it angrily. "Would you stop that!" He screamed at the people above us. I heard the noise stop abruptly and a girl yell "Sorry!" I leapt off the bed and pushed the door open. Lars staggered after me. I raced down the stairs, my eyes watering as the salty wind hit them. I stopped running as soon as I was on the dock. The water splashed my legs and I squealed with excitement. Lars ran toward me, his arms out stretched. I quickly noticed he was trying to push me and at the last second I moved out of the way. He didn't realize and continued running. By the time he stopped he was 1 inch short of the dock. He quickly lost his balance and the last I saw was a huge splash. His head bobbed up and he scowled at me. "Butter!!" He yelled, water dripping down his face. He tread water and I laughed. I took off my shoes and socks and hopped on in. The water swelled around me and I popped up to the surface. I swam over to the shallower part. My hair was matted to my head. I ducked my head under and opened my eyes. The salt burned for a second and then my eyes felt fine. I could see a small school of fish at the bottom. I came up to the top for air. Lars was dipping in and out of the water. I spotted two people coming toward us. One was holding two towels and the other a helmet with respiration. They placed there stuff at the edge of the dock. The girl with the towels looked very shy. She had black her pinned up in a pony tail and was wearing a t-shirt and some jeans. The other girl girl had short brown hair with bright blue stripes everywhere. She wore large brown classes and wearing a shirt with the words "Hetalia" on the front. I ducked my head under the dock and heard them stomp above me. "Hey!" I heard Lars yell. The footsteps stopped. "Hello" said a very cheerful voice. I peered out from under the dock. Before I could react the girl with the blue in her hair stuck her face in mine. "Hello!" She said, leaning over the dock. I swam out, my eyes stinging from the salt. "Hey, I'm Butter." I introduced myself. "And I'm Victoria." She practically yelled. I placed my hands up on the dock and pulled myself up. "And this is Sissi." She pointed to the other girl who gave a wave. "Welcome to Cococraft!" I beamed
