"My name is Adam." He said through his hair. "And do you work for the wither?" I pushed on. "No." He answered calmly. Ken pushed his shovel into the boys stomach. "Yes you are." He shouted. "Ken, chill." I exclaimed. "So, why did you run from me? And why did you have the detonator?" I spilled out. Answers were all I wanted. "I ran from you because..." His voice trailed off. "You know what. I'll come clean. I do work for the wither." "I knew it!" yelled Ken. "No time to celebrate." I added. Lars eyed the boy carefully. "You're in big trouble." He snarled. Lars took the boy by the wrist and pulled down. The boy fell to the ground. He then pulled out a diamond sword and pointed it at the boys chest. "Lars! It's fine. Don't hurt him." I pushed the sword away. "How could you obey the wither?" I screamed at his face. "I'm sorry." Adam pleaded. "Tell me how you got into this mess." I demanded. My throat sore from yelling. "Listen. I was in need of some extra ore so I looked around. I came in contact with a guy who said he would pay me if I helped him with a job. So I did. End of story." He flipped his hair to reveal his face. His irises were both black. "The wither has taken him over." Lars hissed at me. I nodded to him. "Kid. Adam, I think the wither possessed you." He looked at me like I was crazy. "I'm fine." His voice rough. "Adam..." Lars said. "Listen to me! I'm fine." He argued back. Ken looked the boy up and down. "We can't have the wither on our server!" I screamed into his face. He took a step back, anger taking over. "Lars, get the wither off this server. Now!" My words cut through the air. Lars had a fearful look on his face. Lars muttered some commands to himself and then an explosion erupted. The boys opened his mouth wide and fell to his knees. I saw as a black wind left his mouth. The wind whipped everything around, stirring up clouds of dust. Only a few seconds had passed when the boy head slammed to the ground. The whispy cloud swam around the room until it dove into the wall. The boy lay on the ground shaking. "Release him." I commanded. Lars untied his wrists. The boy was now rocking back, tearing streaming from his eyes. "Look what you did to him." Ken said. Lars shrugged and began pacing back and force. I could only stare in a mix of awe and fear. My brain snapped into motion and I ran over to him. I wasn't very good at being a motherly figure, but it was time to attempt. "Ugh...calm down." I tried placing my hand on his back. He shoved me away with a great force. "Hey, we got the wither out of you. You're ok now." I created a sweet tone. "Get away from me." He screamed. I looked at Ken. He was playing with a paper clip and a battery, being unhelpful as always. "Relax." I pushed on. I inched closer to the boy so I was around 10 inches away. Lars paced back and forth behind me. He seemed angry in a way. I moved a few inches closer. "You are ok." He looked at me. I could see a new look in his eyes. A sense of fear and also understanding. He sat up, half his face covered in dirt. "Fine. I give up. Help me if you will." His voice calm, but daring. "As you wish." I concluded. I stood up and held out a hand. The boy was shaking like crazy. He held out his hand and I took it and pulled it up. "Thank you Adam." I said to him. He stood next to me, his knees wobbling. Ken stood up behind him, his hands full of supplies. Lars was still in his funk, ignoring everything. He seemed frustrated with the side we were taking. "Let's go upstairs." I offered, leading the way. I unlocked the door. Ken followed me, but the boy stayed where he was. "You ok?" called Ken. We both stood at the doorway. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." He nodded. He then proceeded to take a step. I could tell the second his leg lifted that he was unbalanced. He fell forward and face-planted into the ground. "Ugh." He groaned from the ground. I ran over, helping him up. I pulled his arm around my neck and we walked together to the door. Ken opened it for us and we stepped into the sunlight.
