Chapter 7

The noises burrowed through my hands, and I felt the ground trembling. Suddenly I am blinded by a flash light. It cut my vision off and all I saw was white, then black

I wake up in the same place left off. My head aches and I find myself covered in bruises and dirt. The others are lay still so I can't tell if they are awake. I sat up and felt a bit nauseous. My head spun as I stood up and examined the world around me. Everything seemed intact but I still probed it with my finger to make sure. All of Abby and Danie's arrows are sprawled across the floor. I heard footsteps inside the house and I decided to investigate. I noticed the others rubbing their heads too as they wonder where they are. Alexis sat at the table making chemical explosions.
"Hey Butter!" She said. I smiled back, happy to see a conscious person.
"What happened?" She asked. I turned around and saw Louis and Gen had sat up.
"I'm not to sure--" my words were cut off by the yelling of Coco. I saw him running towards. As he slowed down he began speaking, "I killed Herobrine!" He yelled. Alexis and I exchanged looks.
"He's really dead?" I asked tentatively.
"Yup!" Coco responded.

All of Coco's yelling had woken up all the staff who were still knocked out. I could see Danie and Abby cursing under their breath as they picked up all the fallen arrows. Gen just sat there looking at the ground and Louis was testing the tension on his bow. I could only sigh and think about how lucky we were.

I connected my Helpop watch and /msg-ed Lizzy. She picked up immediately.
"Lizzy?" I asked
"Yes, yes it's me" she answered.
"How's it going down there?"
"Good."
"Well I think we defeated Herobrine. How is Matt?"
I could imagine her eyes lighting up.
"Matt's... okay" Her voice hung in the air. I pushed my questions on.
"W-what happened?? What's wrong?" I practically screamed. I did it unintentionally but it just came out.
She paused for what seemed like eternity. Those mere seconds passed like hours.
"The break... in his foot. It's really bad."
I swallowed and sucked in a breath then spoke, "I'll be there soon."

My thoughts spun around me as my brain filled with questions. I stared off into the distance at the crumbled Coco Hotel. The cobblestone was littered every where. Gen came over to my side. His armor sat askew on his shoulders and his mouth wore a crooked grin.
"Hey Butt" he said prodding my shoulder. I turned to face him and saw him aiming a bow in the air. Instantly I grabbed the string of the bow and pushed the arrow down. He released the arrow just as I pulled my hand away and it exploding a fiery outburst in the ground. "Hey!" I yelped as a piece of my jeans singed off. Gen stood their chuckling at his mishap. A smile crept on my face and I allowed to come forth. He handed me a fire arrow and I knocked it in my bow. I then took aim and fired into the distance. I had to squint my eyes to see the eruptions of flames. "Nice shot" Gen added. I took a playful bow and slung the bow over my shoulder.
"I got to get going. Matt was injured." I said a bit too quickly.

Gen waved as I soared into the sky. Flying was my favorite part of my job. I could fly for miles and never get tired. I loved the feeling of the wind slapping my face and blowing around my hair. Even though it was short ride to the Spawn I enjoyed it nevertheless.
I slowed down at the entrance and dropped to my feet gracefully. I think ran into the underground area. Lizzy greeted me at the door.
"Butter! How is it up there?" She inquired. "Better. Herobrine is gone. When he died a huge beam of light struck all of the Staff really hard." I answered, "now where is Matt?" Lizzy disappeared for a second and came back with an exhausted Matt. "Hello" he said groggily, "I'm doing better." I was glad to hear that directly from him. I looked down at his foot. Lizzy had smelted some light-weight metal bars into a foot shaped cast and lined it with sheep wool. It was the best we could do considering a major portion of the servers medical supplies was gone. I surveyed the room. Members were everywhere playing with various things. Some were mining deeper, others smelting iron and gold ore and a few were building things out of redstone.

I let Lizzy know that they were to come upstairs but to be cautious. Matt and Lizzy helped all the members out and I directed them in different directions. After everyone was accounted for I allowed them to use /home and get to their houses safely.

The sun was starting to set by the time all the members were safe in their homes. I went into my kitchen and saw Danie and Abby (the two chefs of the house) preparing a beef steak. Matt, Marvin, Louis, Gen and Coco were chatting at the table. I stood there a bit in the middle of things. Danie bustled past me with a plate of baked potatoes. I nearly tripped on her dress and a potato slipped on the ground and splattered. "Sorry" I said picking up the potato insides. "It's ok" she said through a laugh. Then we both broke out into laughter. I hadn't laughed all day and it felt good to finally feel happy.
