The blankets comforted me. Their softness enveloping my whole body. Rain tapped at the windows. I felt a bit dazed and shook my head to clear my muddled thoughts. I heard the windows rattle as the wind shook every thing outside. "Butter?" called a name from outside. "Yes?" I let out, my voice croaky in the morning. "Yeah, it's Adam." He squeaked the door open and peered in. "What is it?" I asked, slightly annoyed. "It's about Alexis." I groaned, I wasn't going to get between them. He shoved the door open a little more and came in, uninvited. I pulled my blanket up to my chin. "Listen," he pleaded, "I need to know if she likes me." "Adam, Im not dealing with this now. My server is kinda in danger." His eyes dropped to the floor. "Nevermind." he muttered under his breath. He slammed the door shut behind, and I just sat there. I pushed the blankets off me and walked over to my dresser. I picked out a tight fitting, black shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans. I wasn't trying to impress anyone, I just wanted to look like a leader.

I made my way downstairs. The usual chatter grew louder as a neared the kitchen. I went in and sat down in the chair by the table. Ken and Alexis were talking about archery tactics although Ken seemed pretty bored. Danie and Abby were fiddling around with their watch interfaces and laughing quietly to themselves. I pulled out an apple from my inventory and sunk my teeth in. The sweetness lingered in my mouth between bites. "So Butter." Adam said, sliding into a chair next to mine. His hair was parted out of his face to reveal his purple eyes. I could see a whimsical side of him, rather than a half possessed emo boy. "Adam, just ask her out, ok?" I said, trying to cut off our future conversation. He contemplated the idea in his head. "Yeah, I was thinking about that." His voice sounded like an innocent child. I bit into my apple again, and chewed on a seed in a mix of annoyance. "What's wrong?" he said, scooting his chair closer. I just stared at my apple. "Im worried about Lars. I broke up with him and he seemed so upset." Adam only stared into the distance. "Im sure he is perfectly fine." He said, attempting to keep a stern composure. "Yeah, exactly." I threw my apple across the room. It sailed through the air and hit Ken in the back of the head. I laughed to myself and looked neutral as Ken scanned the room for his attacker. I was feeling better already. I got up and went into the main area. I looked up and could see the sky through the open ceiling. Rain drizzled onto my clothes. I could feel the cold water chilling my bones.

Adam came over to me again. I was getting tired of him, but I didn't show it. "Butter, Im gonna ask her out." I glanced at him and he averted my gaze. "Go ahead." I said, trying to indicate that I wanted to be alone. I could see him smiling. "Ok." he said with a burst of enthusiasm. He bounded off into the kitchen. I went over to the garden. My hands were shaking from the cold. Cotten Candy, our pet sheep was hiding under the Golden Tree. Her wool was sopping wet and she looked sad. I pet her woolen coat, which felt like a sponge. Water soaked my hands. I sat down in the damp grass. I could feel the water covering my clothes. Cotten Candy rubbed against me. "I know girl." I said. Her pink wool was white in the dim light. I pushed off the ground and stood up. A swish of rain left my face soaked. I shoved the gate open and headed up stairs. I went straight for the bathroom. The rain was picking up outside. I closed the door to the water slide. I then proceeded to turn on the tap in the bath. The water gushed out, spraying my legs. As the water filled up to the line I looked at myself in the mirror. My black iris was turning brown again. I began to think the Wither wasn't going to attack. My eyes looked at my face. It was redder than usual with sunken in eyes. My hair was frizzy and matted. I pulled a brush through my hair, clenching my teeth as it dug through the knots. When I finished pulling out my hair, I examined it. The frizz was tame and the knots removed. I was satisfied. I walked over to the tub and hopped in. The warm water eased all of my sore muscles. My shoulder ached from all my archery. I closed my eyes as the rain rapped on the windows.
