Chapter 39

*Just a side note: I'm planning on making a like "part 2" with another plot line and story. Also sorry for not posting this sooner*

I ran over to Alexis and Adam. Alexis looked like she had been crying and she still sat next to him, hugging him. I knew the amount of injuries would be high so I pulled up my watch interface and msged Absol. In a mere 5 seconds she had teleported to my location. "He was hit by a Wither bomb," I explained. Absol nodded and gently pushed Alexis out of the way. She pulled out multiple unrecognizable tools and got to work. Alexis just watched, her breath hitched from crying. I turned around and went down the steps to where Louis was. Gen, Matt and Coco were talking quickly, almost in attempt to wear off any adrenaline still coursing through their veins. Ken had come over and was staring into space. I looked up at Abby who was dangling her legs off the tree. Danie appeared by my side and I was happy to see her. "Hey Danie," I said. I gave a her an unexpected hug. She smiled and returned it. "Hey Butter!" She said. "Nice shooting," I commented, "you should come shooting with me sometime." She beamed at the opportunity. "How do you think the server will be after all this mess?" I pondered over the question. Even as the Owner and a person that thinks over everything I didn't know. This server hadn't ever experienced something so devastating, except maybe SMan. "Well Danie..." I started, "It will be hard, but we'll work through it." She seemed satisfied with that answer. "How many are injured?" She asked. I looked around, "2 severely. I don't know whether anyone else is." Danie glanced over at Louis and her face grew sad. "They'll recover fast." I mentioned, reading her mind. She pulled me in for another hug and feelings her arms wrapped around me gave me a lot more comfort. I went over to Louis who lay on the ground. A purple and black bruise was forming on the side of his face. I slipped my arms underneath him and picked him up like a child. Carefully I draped his arms on me and took a few rough steps while adjusting under the added weight. Absol was still treating Adam so I knew I had to fend for myself. Ken slightly stumbled over to me. "I'll take him" he offered. I nodded and carefully slid Louis into his arms. "You were really good out there," he said. "Thanks," I said, turning away as my face felt a little hot. "You are of the welcomed," he answered. I went up the steps quickly to where Alexis, Adam and Absol were. Adam's eyes were closed but his body was all bandaged up. I took this moment to tell Absol about Louis' situation. "Absol?" I inquired, tapping her on the shoulder. She glanced up from me while putting away medical supplies. "Can you address Louis? Ken has him downstairs?" I shot a glance at them. Ken was shuffling his feet, trying to act strong enough to carry Louis. "Yes, yes, of course," she answered. Alexis motioned me over. "Butter! Please, please, please make sure Adam is ok!" "I will, I promise and once he's better you guys can actually start dating" I smiled and her face turned red. "I know you have the hots for Ken!" She shot back, a little too loudly. I swallowed, "fine, fine, fine I do." "Well then you have some asking out to do too!" She pointed to me. I sighed, I knew Alexis was right. "Then we both will, in 2 days," I declared. She nodded and we shook hands. I was glad to keep her mind off of the destruction as much as I could. Absol was making her way down the stairs when I turned around. A sudden feeling of relief washed over me. All that preparing and we had conquered the Wither. Gen skipped up to me. "Hey Butter!" He said cheerily. "Hello," I said, slightly intimidated by his enthusiasm. "We defeated the Wither!" He clapped his hands together and then shook my shoulders. "Yes, I know," I said, almost coming off as dismissive. His smiled wavered for a second. "I'm so proud of us!" He beamed. "I know Gen," I said calmly. "It's amazing!" "Yes, yes. It is." "Like really amazing! We really did it!" "Yes Gen," I said through gritted teeth, "Why don't you go do something down their?" I pointed to a random place. My thoughts were suddenly pierced by the sound of Louis screaming.
