"I beg your pardon"
"Move into the palace with me?" Loki kissed my hand once more. My mouth dropped open.
"What?" I muttered.
"Move in with me?"
"Excuse me, what?" I blinked at him.
"I said to move into the palace with me"
"I heard you the first time. Me saying what over and over again. Means I am in some sort of shock" I covered Loki's mouth. Loki moved his head away "You want me to live with you? Why?"
"You practically live at the palace so I thought it would be easier for you and that way, I can protect you more" Loki put his hand behind his head. I pinched my lips together, Tying not to smile "What's so funny?"
"It just you're cute when you are all protective" I bit my lip "You do realise me moving in with you will out us to everyone"
"My brother already knows and I am surprised he didn't go running to my mother yet" Loki rolled his eyes. He laid down next to me. It was a bit of a squeeze as hospital beds ain't that big "I have an idea"
"Another one?"
"I could easily set a room up for you. One just happened to be empty next to my room. You could 'move' in there and we either sleep in your room or mine. But technically still living together" Loki grinned "So what do you say? Want to try living with me?" I bit his lip as I thought about his offer, but eventually responded.
"Sure. I mean it would be easier to get to work if I live here" Loki smiled and brought my hand to his lips to place a kiss upon the back of it.
"So that's a yes?"
"It's a yes"
"YES!" Loki screeched as he cupped my face and kissed me.

It was day 5 of us 'living together. My bruises had almost healed, just the ones on my neck were still visible. Sleeping with my arm in a sling was a pain. But having Loki sleep next to me, Kinda made it a lot easier. Okay, maybe he could do without the morning breath.
"Morning, My pet" Loki said sleepily as he wrapped his arms around me. I smiled as I felt his fingers in my hair. Soft puffs of Loki's breath blew down the back of my neck. He sniffed.
"Morning" I yawned. I tried to wiggle out his arms. Only for them to tighten around my waist.
"And where do you think you are going?"
"I need a wee" I wiggled a little more. I could tell he didn't want to let me go. Slowly, I stood up, the floorboards cool against my toes. As I stood up, I felt Loki's breath against my neck.
"Meet me in the palace kitchen in about 10 minutes" He kissed my lips as he walked out into the kitchen.

As I finished my wee, The soft sound of Loki's humming filled my ears. I followed the sound. I entered the kitchen and smiled at what I saw in front of me. The radio was on. Loki was standing in front of the small stovetop, a bowl of pancake batter curled into one arm and a spatula in the other, facing away from him. I had noticed the string of an apron tied around the back of his bare torso. He only had his trousers on. No shirt. Around him was a mess of eggshells and flour, an open cookbook. I smiled and walked up behind him in what he thought was a quiet manner, My arm wrapping around Loki's waist as he flipped a pancake. Loki didn't even hesitate before he was melting back against my chest.
"Pancakes?" Loki said without looking back, the smile evident in his voice.
"Pancakes? You shouldn't have" I responded as I leaned down and started pressing soft kisses to the curve of his neck. I rested my chin on Loki's shoulder, watching as he pulled the pancake off the griddle and poured the batter for another.
"I never said they were for you" He chuckled lightly "But I can share, I suppose"
"Oh really?" I planted his hands on Loki's hips and turned him around, a smirk on both our lips. I giggled as I saw the flour caked to Loki's cheek. I stuck my finger in the batter and smeared it on Loki's nose.
"I swear you like a 5-year-old sometimes" Loki rolled his eyes, not quite able to hold back the smile that peeked through. I didn't respond, just ran the palms of his hands over Loki's black apron, tracing the pattern printed on the front. Which had more flour on him than in the bag.
"And I forget that you are old" I smile "I think the purpose of this is to keep from getting anything on your clothes... Of which you seem to be wearing very little. Not that I'm complaining" Loki shrugged, sticking his finger in the pancake batter and licking it off.
"I thought it was a nice touch"
"That's gross" I commented, staring at Loki's finger which he pulled out of his mouth with a tiny pop. Loki smiled, the batter still on the tip of his nose. I was tempted to lick it off.
"You're gross" He teased. I let out a small laugh before leaning in and kissing him softly. The kiss deepened as my hands wrapped around Loki's back again, My fingers splaying on his skin. Loki made a tiny noise in the back of his throat.
"Maybe not near the stove" Loki moved us over to the other counter, lifting me up onto the counter, moving a few miscellaneous items out of the way. My legs wrapped around his waist, his fingers twisting in my hair, probably covering it in batter and flour. Loki's lips trailed down to my neck, kissing here and there "I don't... want my pancakes to burn" Loki said breathily as he pulled away. His lips still lingering. I sniffed a little, a burning smell hitting my nose.
"Too late," I said as I pointed to the stovetop. Loki turned around to see a shrivelled up piece of black char sitting in the pan.
"No, no, no, no!" He exclaimed. His face drooped and he looked back over at me "This is your fault"
"It's one pancake, darling. It's not the end of the world" I told him, smiling encouragingly. Loki's frown just deepened and he glared back at him. I would have to admit that I felt slightly guilty.
"I'm throwing you out of the kitchen," He said, pointing a finger menacingly. I gave him my best puppy dog eyes, but agreed, nodding slowly. Loki went back to cooking, prying the ashen remains of the last pancake from the griddle and pouring on the new batter. I stood off to the side for a moment, just watching before I positioned myself behind Loki's back again, sliding my hands under his apron at the front.
"Amelia?"
"Yeah?" I kept my voice as innocent as I could.
"Out of the kitchen," Loki said, his voice stern. But still not enough to scare me. Not yet anyway.
"I'm not doing anything wrong!" I argued, tracing patterns on Loki's bare stomach "I just want to be close to you. Is that so bad" Loki sighed quietly, as though in surrender and relaxed even more into the embrace, flipping an almost perfectly golden pancake. He still had a lot of batter left.
"Why don't we just go out to eat? We can get tea and scones and you can make your pancakes tomorrow. We'll just put the batter in the -" Loki whipped around before I could even finish my sentence. I gulped as he pointed his spatula at me and glared.
"Amelia, You are eating these flaming pancakes if it's the last thing I do. So get your bubble butt out of here and come back in ten minutes when they are ready" He turned back around, going back to work as if nothing had happened.

I blinked at him for a second, before turning on my heel and heading out of the room. I sat in the hallway until Loki was calling me back into the kitchen. The table was set up nicely with two place settings and mugs of tea. I smiled at Loki, his eyes bright. We sat down, Loki stripping off the apron, leaving himself in his trousers. The pancakes really were amazing, not burnt at all. I was glad to see that Loki didn't seem to be in a bad mood.

We finished eating, I cleared the table. I did get told off for this. I am meant to be resting after all. Loki stood up and walked over to me.
"Okay, now you can do whatever you want, darling" I laughed, tilting my head up to kiss his lips "I love you" he murmured.
"I know," I said, pulling back with a smirk. Loki raised an eyebrow. I still can not believe that I could have ever gotten this lucky "I love you too and about what happened earlier"
"Burning or the kiss?" I stared at my food.
"The kiss" Loki fingers traced my jawline then.
"What about it?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Was very naughty what you tried to do" Loki's hand travelled downwards from my neck. Pausing just before my cleavage. Trying to be calm as possible. I let out a little sigh and closed my eyes. Raising my chest slightly to encourage him. I hear him chuckle "If you wish for me to continue, Darling, You had better open those lovely eyes"
"I am nervous" I open one eye. This made Loki laugh.
"Why?" Loki pressed his body against mine.
"That kiss was the most... Urmm.. anything we have done" I bite my lip. I was nervous. Really nervous and I think it showed.
"Ah, I see" Loki's hands wandered to my hips "Is that a problem?"
"Well no. it just... I've never done this before," I said shyly "I don't want you to think that it was awful and stuff"
"It will be fine," Loki whispered "As long as I am with you, Nothing will be awful"
"I'm just really nervous"
"Amelia, We have been together for some time now, You have nothing to be nervous about"
"I know. I just don't know what I am doing"
"Amelia, I will never make you do anything that you wasn't comfortable with. I am not that type of monster"
"I know, I never thought of you as a monster. It's just, I am new to this, Being this close to someone" I whispered.
"Then tell me what you feel right now" Loki lifted my head with his finger.
"I... I... a strange feeling. Like goosebumps running up and down my spine" I licked my lips as Loki placed his hand on my back. Pulling me closer to him.
"Now what?"
"Is it normal for my heart to be beating like a hummingbirds wings?" Loki nodded to my question.
"Do you know what I want to do to you?" Loki whispered.
"No" I bit my lip.
"I want to kiss you like it was the last thing I would do"
"Then kiss me" Without any hesitation, Loki kissed me while lifting me up onto the counter, moving a few miscellaneous items out of the way. My legs wrapped around his waist, his fingers twisting in my hair. He put his hands on my face and kissed me. His finger's gently caressing my jawline. He pulled away from the kiss, making his way up my neck. He nipped at some spots. I was rather enjoying this when Loki suddenly stopped.
"Why did you stop?" I blushed.
"Because I don't know if I will be able to stop myself if we go any further"
"Maybe I don't want you to stop"
"Are you sure? I mean I am a God after all and a frost giant. I might hurt you" Loki kissed me softly. I put my hands on Loki's face.
"I don't believe that" I whispered as Loki kissed me again. Only with more passion. But after a few moments, he pulled away. Again "Why did you pull away?"
"This is hardly a good place to do this. Someone might walk in" Loki let my feet fall to the ground. I hadn't thought of that. Loki ran his hands down his face before he entwined his fingers with mine "Amelia, Listen to me, I know you are pure and untouched by any man, God or woman. So I ask you this, My sweet maiden, This is your one last chance to back out. Are you positive you want someone so broken to tarnish you?"
"You are no more broken than I am" I whispered into Loki's ear.
"Come with me" Loki gripped my hand and lead me out of the kitchen.
