I can't stop grinning! I have never laughed or smiled so much. But there was still the best man speech to come. Thor was standing to the side and I could see that he was nervous. He tapped the glass loudly and the entire hall turned their gaze towards him.
"Oh, dear. Someone help us" Loki mumbled as Thor adjusted his tie "Why did I make him my best man?"
"Because he nagged you about it" I gripped Loki's hand.
"Hello everyone, My name is Thor and as you can see, I am the best man. Well, What an emotional day it has been. Hasn't it? I mean, even the cake was in tiers. I will ask that you keep the clapping and cheering to a minus, I've got a terrible hangover. I know, I know. I shouldn't drink heavily before a big event but I couldn't let Loki drink alone could I? What kind of brother would that make me?"
"Why did I let him be best man?" Loki mumbled as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I did ask for a device that allows me to shout louder but I wasn't allowed one, SO PEOPLE AT THE BACK, THE SILENCE FROM THESE LOT AT THE FRONT SHOULD REASSURE YOU THAT YOU AIN'T MISSING OUT ON ANYTHING!"
*Laughter* More laughter came from the crowd. I could see the Avengers hiding behind their faces.
"I must admit that I am not accustomed to public speaking. Up until I was asked to be best man, I thought a toastmaster was something that belonged in the kitchen"
"Oh god. that was a terrible joke" Loki mumbled as I chuckled.
"He's been hanging around Stark far too long" I whispered.
"Despite Loki asking me to be his best man, After I nagged him. I never received a formal invitation to this day. I really hope I haven't eaten someone else's meal by mistake. If I did, blame our groom here. Cheapskate, Saving himself a coin on dove"
*Laughter*
"Nah, I'm kidding. I actually went to Midgard and used my friend's computer to find the perfect best man speech for today. It turns out you have to pay to read some examples and I thought to myself 'Ah screw that. I'm just gonna wing it'" Thor said as he threw a piece of card behind him.
*Laughter*
"I think I got this role by default as Loki doesn't have a lot of friends. I didn't really wanna stand up here and make a fool of myself but I thought today may be the only chance I will ever get a meal and some drinks paid for by the beanpole so I didn't risk turning it down"
*Laughter*
Everyone chuckled. Some clapped.
"As long as he never cooked the food, I'll think we should all be safe. As Best man, I provided everyone with sick bags under their seats. Just to be on the safe side"
"Oh, he is such an quim" Loki grinned as he shook his head. The crowd was still laughing. I patted Loki's knee "And he's one to talk. All he makes is pop tarts"
"It's okay, I like your cooking" I patted Loki's knee.
"When the happy couple found out that I was planning this speech, They asked me not to include, The groom's mishaps, Mistakes or embarrassing moments. Like when we fell into the local duck pond or when we went to America in Midgard a few decades back and got caught in what they call a tornado season and Loki, Well he was hammered, Walked up to it. Drunk as anything and throw the beer at the tornado saying have a drink on me. Did I mention that he was naked?" I heard more laughter.
"This more of a roast than it is a speech and I wasn't naked" Loki mumbled. He was still grinning so it can't be that bad.
"Yes, you were. Though it may have taken around 1000 years, Loki has finally admitted that I am the best" Thor pulled a pose that made him look like a superhero from one of Stark's movies. Which made the crowd howl. I giggled as I looked at Loki who had hidden his head on my shoulder "Let's take a minute or two to be actual grown-ups about this I wanna quote a sentence that I found on Midgard's computers. Marriage isn't about being with someone that you can live with. It's about being with someone that you can't live without. Which is what these two have done. And I want to be the first to wish them a lifetime of happiness and that you will have the two things essential for a long happy marriage. A sense of humour and selective hearing. TO THE HAPPY COUPLE!" The whole room clapped and cheered as they shout our names. Thor bowed towards the crowd. Then he told the crowd to settle down "Now let's see our couple in a spotlight dance"

Loki linked his fingers with mine and walked onto the dance floor. Someone flicked a switch and a warm white light covered us. Lord Odin clicked his fingers and tiny lights swirled around us. The band started playing some slow-moving songs. Loki placed his hand on my hip and we sway in time with each other.
"I love you so much" Loki gripped my waist tighter. Loki moved my hand so it was resting above his heart.
"I love you way more" I smiled softly.
"I do have a surprise for you by the way" Loki whispered into my ear "Well several surprises but some will have to wait till later"
"Should I be worried?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Only about this" Loki smirked. He had one hand at the base of my spine and the other was still on my face. He flipped me over his knee. He planted his lips on mine and I could hear people cheering and clapping. My hand found its way to Loki's jawline. We parted and Loki was smirking "I love you"
"I love you too" I smirked back as Loki lifted me back onto my feet.
