"And what is it?" I asked. The whole room was silent. No one could gauge the look on Lord Odin's face. Even Lady Frigga seemed wary. Loki shifted uncomfortably in front of everyone. I hadn't the faintest idea of what Lord Odin was going to say. I wiped my hands on my sleeves as my hands began to get clammy.
"Father, please. Enough with the suspense" Thor groaned. Lord Odin held his hand up.
"Amelia, since you have met my son, He is healthier, not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well" Lord Odin placed his hands behind his back "And my son, since you met Amelia, She has come on leaps and bounds. Not only is she stronger. She is more confident in herself. Even though you are a frost giant and she is a half breed"
"Odin," Lady Frigga spoke. Making Lord Odin's face drop. I had to bite the inside of my cheek so I didn't laugh "Be nice"
"Of course, I didn't mean it in a bad way" Lord Odin tried to retract his latter statement "Even so, I have seen more people suited for each other than you two I am glad that you found each other" I look at Loki with such admiration.
"So I am" Loki smiled.
"And Besides, even if I said no to you two, You both wouldn't have listened to what I say" Lord Odin sighed. It was said in fondness, rather than annoyance or bitterness. I spotted Lady Frigga grinning in the background.
"We would have... Sort of" Loki rubbed the back of his head.
"You have never listened to me" Lord Odin stared at Loki. Loki held up one finger.
"Hang on just a minute... I think you might be actually right. Though you being right would make a change" Loki scratched his chin.
"You really haven't changed" Lord Odin rolled his eyes.
"Would you have me False to my nature? Rather say I play the man I am?"
"You want his blessing or not!?" Lady Frigga raised her voice.
"I do" Loki nodded. His cheeks were a little red. I leant my head on his chest "Carry on"
"I hereby give my blessing to Amelia Grace and my youngest son Loki... What surname do you wish to go by?" Lord Odin bellowed. Loki looked at me then at his mother, Then Thor and lastly at Odin.
"Odinson" Loki beamed. Thor shouted yes. Loki rolled his eyes and folded his arms. He turned his head so he could glare at Thor "Brother, please try to remain calm"
"Sorry, but it has been a long time since you called yourself Odinson. I'm just happy" Thor beamed.
"My sons, Will you please let me say what I need to say. I do want to finish this by lunch" Lord Odin tapped his foot. The boys bowed their heads and said their apologies "Once again, I hereby give my blessing to Amelia Grace and my youngest son Loki Odinson" Everyone cheered. Loki pulled me in for a kiss.
"Okay, Put her down" Lady Sif pretended to be sick as she clapped. She was busy staring at Thor who on the odd glance, smiled at Lady Sif.
"Too much public display of affection" Lord Volstagg covered his eyes. Lord Fandral cheered. Lord Hogun turned away.
"Oh leave them alone. They are happy" Thor cheered.
"All points are valid but please, Put Amelia down. Even I feel quite off with it all" Lady Frigga strolled over to us. She grabbed both our hands.
"You have my blessing too"
"Thank you mother" Loki pulled his mother into a tight embrace. I did a little bow But Lady Frigga pulled me into the hug.
"You can stop bowing. We are to be family after all and you don't have to call me Lady all the time" Lady Frigga sighed.
"I can't promise that" I smiled.
"Alina!" Lady Frigga shouted for her lady in waiting "Send an announcement to all the realms that my son is to be wed"
"Yes, My lady" Alina bowed as she jogged away. Pen and paper in hand.

Once everyone had stopped cheering and congratulating us and Lord Odin had left, I dismissed myself from the group and approached Lady Frigga.
"Ah Amelia, How can I help you?"
"My Lady, Do you know where my mother is buried," I asked, Straight to the point "Sorry to be so blunt but I wish to pay my respects to her"
"It is fine my child" Lady Frigga put her hand over mine "Your mother is buried in the field of the Valkyries"
"Thank you" I bowed my head. I went to walk away but Lady Frigga grabbed my hand.
"What do you know of your mother?"
"Thor said that she was a fighter till the end but that is all. Can you tell me about that day?" Hopefully, Lady Frigga knew what day I was hinting at.
"The day I found her... Herja was... She was thin, Bloody, battered and burned. Head to toe. Her face and neck were the worse. Her wrists and ankles too. She had this horrid jagged scar along her stomach. It couldn't have been more than a few days old when we found her"
"Did she say anything?" I picked at my hands "About me? Or what happened?"
"All she said was 'Midgard. She's on Midgard'. I never knew what she meant. She kept repeating herself. Loki tried to look in her mind but it was blocked. I don't know how you got to Midgard"
"It didn't say in my file either" I looked at the floor.
"Your mother was a fighter, She was the second-best Valkyrie. Right up there with Brunnhilde. She would not have given up without a fight. A trait that you both share" Lady Frigga lifted my head gently "I can see her in you. You share her facial features"
"Did she have green eyes too?"
"Come to think of it, Yeah she did. And they were just as bright as yours" So my eyes were Asgardian! Elena was wrong! They all were! "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. It just. For as long as I can remember, People would say that my eyes were not Asgardian. That I was a freak and now I find out my eyes belong here. I feel like a load has been lifted" I let out a little puff of air.
"Where you are from doesn't define eye colour. In my younger days, I used to go to Midgard a lot and there were some people there that had purple eyes. I believe one person had orange" Lady Frigga smiled "Also where you are from doesn't define who you are. Despite what Odin thinks"
"I may be a half breed but I will never see myself as one. I am an Asgardian. Like my mother before me" I held my head up.
"When I first met you, You were afraid to say boo to a goose and now, You are a strong woman" Lady Frigga beamed at me. I blushed a little.
"I had some great influence. You and your sons helped" I looked over at Loki. He was laughing with his brother. He wasn't the Loki that I had first met. This one had love in his heart.
"And you helped him. A few years ago, Loki wouldn't even of considered this. He was always known as The Prince that is easy to bed but never to wed" Lady Frigga sighed "I was always afraid that Loki would never find himself somewhere he belonged"
"In our many, many talks, He believed that he failed at who he was supposed to be" I leant against a pillar.
"Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be. The measure of a person, of a hero, is how well they succeed at being who they are" Lady Frigga looked at her sons.
"To become the person you want to be, You have to kill the person that you once were" I licked my lips "In the end, It is love that will heal you. It's what heals us all"
"I think that has to be the wisest words I have ever heard in this realm" Lady Frigga smiled proudly at me.
"I did learn from you. I've spent nearly 6 months under your wing and I could not ask for a better role model in my life" I looked to my left to see Loki walking towards us "Are you okay?"
"Please save me from Thor" He pleaded. I asked him what Thor was doing to him "Just being Thor" He replied.
"Ahh. Well on that note, I suggest that you two take the stairs to the left of us" Lady Frigga pointed behind us. Loki grabbed my hand. We both bid his mother good day and legged it out the hall. Thankfully Lady Frigga kept Thor busy so he wouldn't notice that we had snuck out.

We spent the rest of the day avoiding people. And by people, I mean Thor. No matter where we went, He would find us. He was like a bloodhound. We ended up hiding in a tree. Loki placed a finger over his lips as he pointed down. Thor was wandering around. His hands were on his hips. he then walked over to the other side of the courtyard.
"Why is Thor after us?" I whispered as Loki sat carefully next to me.
"Something about wanting to be involved in the wedding planning and wanting to be my best man?" Loki shrugged. I rolled my eyes "For as long as I can remember, He has always wanted to be my best man at my wedding. Even after I have backstabbed him or generally just stabbed him"
"We've been engaged for less than a week and he already is becoming unbearable"
"Maybe I should ask Stark or Bucky to be my best man. He would really get a kick out of that" Loki grinned.
"Not Bucky, I want him to walk me down the aisle. He is the closest man I have to a family" I pointed at Loki "We can talk wedding stuff out later. How can we avoid him?" I pointed at the blond nuisance.
"I know where we can go" Loki sighed. He helped me down from the tree and we left the palace grounds altogether. Not even to look back.

"So where are we going?" I asked as Loki lead us to a waterfall. Gripping my hand, We made our way over the slippery rocks and went behind the waterfall.
"I found this place as a child. I used to hide out here all the time" We walked down this small tunnel and came to the end where we were faced with a beautiful garden with a small tree in the middle. It had a small pond around it that was no more than ankle-deep. There was a small opening in the rock face and there was little light flickering around the place.
"Loki this place is, Wow" My head followed the lights as they moved.
"Would you believe that you are the only person I have brought here" Loki walked backwards as he held my hands.
"Given that you don't like people 85% of the time, Yes I would"

As we sat under the tree. Loki conjured a blanket and wrapped it around us. We just sat, wrapped in each other's arms. It was so peaceful here. I would have loved to stay here all day but we both knew we had to come out of the cave eventually.
"How is my future husband feeling?" I couldn't stop smiling that gorgeous smile of his with his dimples. I just couldn't put what I was feeling into words. I caressed the side of Loki's face so tenderly, that all Loki could do was sigh contently and return the blinding smile.
"Wonderful!" Loki sighed and placed a kiss on my lips "Now that we are away from Thor"
"So what shall we do to pass the time?"
"We have two options" Loki wiggled two fingers at me.
"What's the first one?" I raised an eyebrow.
"We could start planning the wedding, Like the little details"
"Okay, Second option?"
"I'll leave that to your imagination" Loki wiggled his eyebrows at me. When I realised what he was on about, I blushed "Still so innocent" Loki ran a hand over my cheek, Down my neck before it rest on my collarbone. Innocent? We shall see about that.
"Or we could secret option number 3" I smirked at Loki who looked at me with confusion. I sighed and climbed on his lap.
"If you are implying what I think you're implying, then we do that then we make plans" I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I like that option" Loki just smiled at me and kissed me passionately.
