"Mother?" Loki straightened himself up. Lady Frigga took two full strides before she was stood in front of us.
"Was I interrupting anything?" Lady Frigga looked between the two of us.
"Dunno what you're talking about, Mother," Loki says innocently, Adjusting the front of his shirt. I, wisely, say nothing; Just wiped my eyes and sniffed.
"Don't play that game with me, young man" She walks over to us and smacks the Loki lightly on the arm "You should know better!"
"Do you mind?!" he complains, rubbing his arm. Lady Frigga stared at her son.
"Mind? Mind? That I just caught you with your mouth attached to this one" Loki gulps and again, I do nothing. After all, Lady Frigga can really be quite menacing when she wants to be.
"Mother, I was just... We were just..." He darts me with a panicked look.
"Hmm?" Lady Frigga prompts, raising her eyebrows "You were just what?"
"This isn't what it looks like" Loki panicked.
"Loki?"
"Fine, all right, it was exactly what it looked like" Loki looked at the floor. I just stood there. I didn't know what to do.
"And?" Lady Frigga says, folding her arms. We both blink at her.
"And what?" We both speak.
"How long has this," Lady Frigga waved her hand in a circle "Been going on for?" Loki looks at me. His eyes soften. My lips turn up at the side.
"Around 2 months now" Loki gazed doesn't leave mine "Though each time I look into this one emerald eyes, I feel like I have lived several lifetimes"
"Is this also why you moved into the palace?" Lady Frigga tilted her head at me.
"Sort of. Loki said he felt it would be safer for me while my house was being repaired" I nodded once.
"Am I going to have to worry about, you know, in terms of..." Lady Frigga lowers her voice, "accidents"
"Oh my god! Mum!" Loki groans, throwing his hands over his face, completely embarrassed.
"I'm just checking that you are being careful!" Lady Frigga held her hands up.
"Mother, I'm over a thousand years old, for crying out loud. Do you really think I'd be so irresponsible as to - " He cuts himself off. I hide my face in my hand "Don't answer that"
"Well," Lady Frigga sniffs "I suppose it is none of my business what you get up to. Just..." She shifts her stance, crinkling her brow as she looks at us both. Her eyes drop to where our hands have unconsciously sought out each other. Her expression softens and she relaxes "You make each other happy, don't you?"
"I hope I make your son happy, My Lady" I squeeze Loki's hand.
"You do and I hope that I make you happy in return" Loki kissed my hand.
"All right, I'll let you off. But if I catch you acting like teenagers again, you'll never hear the end of it, let me tell you!"
"Yes Mother," Loki says, his lips twitching. Lady Frigga nods "Well that was humiliating," he mutters, but he's smiling. He drops a kiss on the top of my head.
"Relax, Darling. It could have been worse"
"Yeah" Loki smiled. He then turns back to his mother "So, Do you approve of this relationship?"
"My dears. I have been worried for years, that Loki would have to make do with less than he deserves. That he would never find someone that loved him for him" Lady Frigga reached out for our hands "Of course I approve. I can see in your eyes that you are happy and content"
"Thank you mother" Loki hugged her. Lady Frigga then pulled away.
"Your brother knew didn't he?" Lady Frigga narrowed her eyes at us. I looked away and Loki rubbed the back of his head.
"Despite being an airhead, He worked out what was happening quicker than we wanted. My reaction when Amelia was attacked confirmed his thoughts" Loki pulled me closer to him.
"Will you be telling your father?" Lady Frigga lowered her voice. The colour drained from Loki's face.
"I don't know how to. He hates me most days" Loki muttered. I wrapped my good arm around his slim waist. Letting him know I was here for him.
"You should tell him before he finds out from someone else" Lady Frigga smiled at us both "Now, I will leave you two to it. I actually need to speak to your father about the ball"
"Bye mother" "Goodbye My Lady" We both spoke. We waited till she was out of sight before we let out a sigh.

We sat back on the bench but this time I leaned into Loki, Head pressed against his chest. Listening to his heartbeat.
"That went better than I thought it would" Loki closed his eyes "But like you said, It could have gone worse"
"What would have done if she didn't approve?" I bit my lip. I wasn't sure why I asked the question but part of me had to know.
"Simple. I would have dated you anyway. I was never one for doing what I was told" Loki smiled.
"I wouldn't have made you choose" I sighed "but your mother is right" Loki shuffled in his seat so I slid down his shirt and my head landed in his lap. Loki leaned over me.
"About?"
"You telling your old man about us"
"I don't wanna" Loki sulked "He's made it clear that I was a pawn in his stupid game"
"If that was true then why did he take you in and not leave you on the cold rocks?" I replied as Loki helped me sit up. Once I was steady, He stood up. Hands behind his back. He gazes glared at the view.
"For political gain. He choose me to be his trophy when he defeated the Frost Giants"
"But he still saved you from those frozen rocks. The man doesn't hate you. You can't see it, Can you?" I stood up and went to my man's side.
"See what?" Loki grumbled. I used my good hand and squeezed his hand.
"Odin choose you to be the bridge that bound the two realms. You say all the time, He raised you to be a King right?" Loki nodded "He raised you to be the future King of Jotunheim" Loki looked down at me "But it had to be your choice. You may be all Frost Giant but you are still an Asgardian at heart"
"Amelia, I... I am lost for words" Loki turned slightly to face me. His eyes staring deep into mine "You understood my father's intention but then anyone. Even my mother couldn't work it out"
"She probably did. Just couldn't say anything that would alter your path" I smiled as Loki paced both hands on my cheeks. His thumbs making tiny circles. I melted at his touch.
"How did I get to be with such an amazing person?"
"Luck?" I scoffed "I am nothing. My DNA pretty much confirmed it. I am not worthy of this life"
"Please don't be like that. You mean more to me than anyone" Loki's eyes softened.
"Loki, We both know there are more beautiful women than me out there" I looked towards the city, Excepting Loki's gaze to follow but he never looked away.
"Do you really think that you are not beautiful?" He asked. My face turned back to his. His voice is like a whisper in the wind. Only loud enough for me to hear "Roses weep as you walk past. The sea bows to the sand as you stand on it. Do you really believe yourself not worthy of my God's love?" His head moves closer to mine. His strong arms snake around my waist. Pulling me closer to him "Do you really think that you are not desirable? Amelia, It takes everything that I am, As a man and as a God, Not to ravage you every time I set my eyes upon you"Loki kissed me on the lips before I could even respond. Once again, I melted in his arms.

As we pulled apart, I blushed. I tried to hide my face but Loki had his pointer finger under my chin, holding me in place.
"There is no point in hiding, I've seen it all" Loki grinned as my face deepened in colour.
"You must hate my shy trait. It must annoy you as much as it does me"
"You think that your timidness is annoying to a God like me. Yet you have failed to realise that the ones who are shy are in fact, the most loyal and trustworthy. Your shy trait, Love, is what keeps my high hopes that you are still mine and only mine"
"Loki, Think I have been yours since day one" I smiled as Loki once again looked into my eyes. Though he held the gaze longer this time "What are you staring at?"
"On Midgard, I heard they have a saying. That the eyes are the windows to the soul. I believe they are right. For if you look in my eyes my dear, You will see only you. You have become my life. My heart that was once stone and as cold as ice beats for you and only you"
"And what do you see when you look in my eyes?" I blinked slowly.
"I see a forever" Loki spoke without any hesitation "I mean it, you are my world, My rock. You are everything to me. And I will spend however long it takes to convince you of that"
"I love you" I smiled as I hugged my God.
"I love you more" Loki hugged back "Which is why after this stupid ball, We will tell my father about us" My head shot up.
"Really?"
"Yes. Besides at the party, Everyone will spread rumours when they see us together" Loki sighed "I don't plan on dancing with anyone else"
"Thor said he might rope me in for a dance" I pinched my lips together "Only I can't dance"
"You just need the right partner" Loki kissed my forehead "Also, Do you have a dress?"
"I have some blue thing" I shrugged.
"Some blue thing really helps" Loki rolled his eyes.
"I can't help you anymore. I have never been to a ball. Only to a formal dinner at Elena's parents" I explained. Loki clicked his tongue.
"Then if it is all right with you, May I pick a dress for you? Or get you a small collection of dresses for you to pick from?"
"Small collection would be better"
"If I recall, Your favourite colour is purple. Am I correct?" I nodded. Amazed that he remember that little fact "And silver accessories. Like the ones you had one the first day we met"
"You remember stuff like that" I tilted my head.
"Hmm. I also remember that you like creamed filled pasties covered in chocolate, which now I am in the mood for" Loki let me go and held out his arm "Care to accompany me to the kitchens?" I grinned and accepted.
