The weekend went relatively slow. Loki had to go on another mission but it was only to the lower part of Asgard. Or 'The Slums' as Odin calls it.
"So, Charlotte is switching with Elaine" I nibbled on the end of my pencil. To keep somewhat busy (And till my arm healed in like 2 months) I was updating the schedules. Again. It is so boring waiting for bones to heal "Elizabeth needs these days off. Josie is off these 3 days and Jayni is only available for these days" I started walking around.
"Amelia!" I spun around to see Lady Frigga standing behind me.
"My Lady" I did a little bow "What is the matter?"
"I was wondering if you wanted help learning about your powers?" My mouth dropped open.
"My powers?" I wasn't aware that Lady Frigga knew.
"Thor told me about what The Midgardians told him about you" Lady Frigga had that mum face on.
"I see. Well, I never really thought about them. What good could they be if I nearly blow up a house" I looked at my hand "I still don't know what happened that day? I can't even bring myself to face Elena"
"Then maybe you too need a little guidance" Lady Frigga smiled at me "I can help you. If I can teach you control like I taught Loki his magic because Odin was so invested in Thor"
"And a splendid job you did. I love the firework magic that you taught him" I grinned. I then looked back at my hand "Lady Frigga, Why do you think I was created?"
"I do not know myself. I wish I did" I looked away "Does it bother you?"
"Well yeah. Was I created for a reason? Boredom? Was I meant to destroy or rebuild? I have so many questions running in my head and not working is making me think the worst of things" I started flapping my hands as I paced up and down. Lady Frigga took a step back as I got myself worked up.
"Amelia, You need to calm down. You have a red aura about you" Lady Frigga was on the defensive. I looked at my hands and arms.
"What the -" I cut myself off from swearing "I don't understand this" Lady Frigga just stared at me.
"Amelia, I think you may have an elemental power. I need you to focus on what makes you calm" I closed my eyes and thought about the colour purple, Puppies. The sun in the sky. Stars in the night sky. Nothing seems to work.
"I can't think" My hands felt hotter. I clenched them, Thinking it would help. It didn't.
"Amelia, Calm your storm. find your anchor" Lady Frigga remained calm. She must be used to her sons having a random outburst of power.
"My anchor. Right okay," I closed my eyes again. My anchor? What is that? "What is my anchor?"
"Something or someone that keeps you grounded" Lady Frigga emphasised the word 'someone'. I think I knew what she meant. I thought about Loki. How his arms make me feel safe. The sound of his heart as it beats against his ribcage. The smell of his skin after he's been in the shower. I felt my hands cool down "That's it. Focus your centre on your anchor" I nodded. My mind filled with Loki. I could feel my core cool down. I opened my eyes to see my skin was no longer red.
"I feel better. I apologise for my outburst" I wrapped my arms around myself.
"Do not worry. You have met my family" Lady Frigga walked a little closer to me. I took a step back "I am not afraid of you"
"I am. I'm a fire elemental that has no control" I looked at my hands "Still, It is rather cool to have the power of fire"
"You just need some training. I'm sure Loki would help you if you ask him. I certainly will"
"Thank you Lady Frigga" I dropped my hand to my side.
"My son was your anchor, wasn't he?" Lady Frigga quizzed. I blushed as I looked away. Trying to compose myself "No point lying. I already know of your relationship and every time I see him with you, I can see it in his eyes as I see the same look in yours" I didn't say anything else. I didn't have. Lady Frigga knew. She always knows "I need to go and prepare for dinner. Meet me here tomorrow lunchtime for some training"
"Of course, My Lady" I bowed as Lady Frigga walked off.

Once she was out of sight, I placed my notebook on a stone railing and looked at my hand. I thought about what made me angry and focused it on my hand. I could feel the heat grow. I waited for another second or so before a small flame appeared in my hand. I then thought about Loki and the flame disappeared. As I made the flame disappear and reappear, I could hear a voice in my head. A smirk appeared on my face.
"Burn it down," It said. I shook my head. Snapping back to reality. I looked back at my hand. The flame had died down.
"What was that?" I took a few deep breathes in and out "I should really get back to work"

It was now the end of the week when Thor, Lady Sif, Lord Volstagg and Lord Hogun came back to the palace from their long mission. I could hear yelling from their direction so I made my way to them. I was already in the area as I was training a new girl.
"Amelia?!" I heard Thor bellow. I dismissed the girl, told her to go to Lady Frigga for some work and went over to the group of angry Asgardians.
"How can I be of assistance?" I bowed. Thor pointed to the room.
"Know anything about this?" I stuck my head in, My mouth dropped. Their hangout was in disarray. Shelves were ransacked. and the table was on its side.
"I'm sorry but no. None of my girls has been in this area today. Only me and the girl I was just with but she hasn't left my side"
"Well someone has" Thor sulked. Unless he was the one causing chaos and mayhem, Thor hated mess.
"I say we go in and investigate" Lady Sif unsheathed her sword and pushed past us all. Lord Hogun and Lord Volstagg follow her. I looked at Thor and we both shrugged.
"Come on. Let's follow them. Stay close Amelia" Thor pushed me behind him as we followed the others.

After arguing with the broken furniture and random bits of glass, (I ended up being carried by Thor so I didn't get injured. He still didn't want Loki to lose his temper and freeze the place) We finally got to the middle of it, all was Lord Fandral. He sat cross-legged on the floor, swaying slightly from side to side. It was almost as if he was drunk, but that was basically impossible for the Gods. Even if he'd drank all of the village's ale, Lord Fandral should still have been stone-cold sober.

I feel like I should have known better when I asked how Lord Fandral came to be so intoxicated and Lord Fandral produced an almost empty bottle, Thor was surprised (mostly tired but still surprised). He carefully pried the bottle out of Lord Fandral's hands and took a deep swig. He grimaced at the taste.
"Ale's better" he noted, staring down the neck of the bottle. We were staring in horror at what had just happened. Lord Fandral had managed to get himself drunk by drinking, and apparently, Thor was content to join him. Lady Sif broke out of it first, taking Lord Fandral's face into her hands while she shouted at him.
"Why would you drink this nectar brew?" Lord Fandral smiled up at her.
"Well my friend, I drank it to get drunk, obviously" I continued to glare at him. He sighed "I haven't been drunk for like, 6 days. I wanted a night off from all this crap and have fun for once"
"It was bound to happen eventually" Lord Hogun agreed as she sat down next to Lord Fandral and Thor. Loki had since joined us. I smiled as soon as I saw him. He squeezed my hand.
"Are you okay? I saw the mess?" He whispered.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thor carried me over it all" Though if they were all drinking, how was I to get back over the mess. I guess Loki could carry me.
"What?!" Lady Sif demanded. Lord Volstagg shrugged and sat down next to other men. Loki and I stood in the corner, Our faces in pure shock.
"We live a hard life, Sif. Booze help" Thor shrugged.
"Lord Odin's nectar brew isn't the same as booze!" Lady Sif spoke. Loki looked at his brother. He hadn't seen Thor smile in a while. We knew it was because he was missing Jane. Odin kept sending Thor away on missions to other realms.
"It is rather strange to see him relaxed around the others" Loki mumbled in my ear. I nodded.
"Might as well be for us" Lord Volstagg piped up. Lord Fandral looked over his shoulder at his friend.
"Does Odin know you are drinking this?" Loki frowned. I never thought Loki would react this way. Normally he is down for annoying Odin.
"Honestly, No" Lord Fandral explained. Loki hid his face in his hands. I picked up an empty bottle.
"You got drunk on one bottle?" I asked.
"Don't be silly sweet Amelia. I got 5 cases and I have only drunk half of one" Lord Fandral cheered "Join me, friends!"

In the end, Everyone was curious enough to at least try it, Only Loki and I remained sober.
"Lord Fandral, You were right, Ale is better" Lord Volstagg agreed. It was nice to see him happy and chill out. Instead of the grumpy arse that he is.

That was enough to convince Lady Sif that she desperately needed a drink. She drained a whole jug on her own, eager to forget the day she'd had. Once Lady Sif had succumbed to temptation, I could sense that Loki was struggling to ignore the pull of the booze. He was a man of strong will and prided himself on his self-control. But even he couldn't deny that he was curious about Lord Odin's collection. But he also had another reason for not wanting to drink it. When Loki is drunk, He tends to be a tad more honest than he cares to and he even told me that he couldn't risk opening his mouth about our relationship.
"Come on Loki, Miss Amelia. Have a sip" Lord Hogun waved his drink in front of our faces.
"I don't think that would be wise" Loki declined. I backed away and took out my notebook. I had to find someone to help clean up this mess.
"Brother, You need to relax. Father won't find out" Thor picked a bottle up and threw it at his brother. He caught it with ease. Loki looked at the red liquid.
"One bottle won't hurt" He muttered under his breath as he sighed. He took a sip and I could see on his face that he found it was rather pleasant to drink "Damn, Father brews some quality stuff"
"See? Come sit down and enjoy this drink" And then there was only me. I flat out refused. I think that these idiots will need babysitting in a little while. Thor got up and rummaged around some crates. he held up a load of bottles.
"I'VE FOUND THE BRANDY!" Thor shouted. I sighed. I guess the clean up can wait till later.

Somehow and with sheer luck, Thor carried me back out into the hallway even though he was drunk. Loki was not as drunk but he was still drunk. Soon as Thor, The Warriors 3 and Lady Sif were out of sight. Loki flung his arm over my shoulder.
"*HIC* I feel like I am about to pass out *HIC* from the amount of booze that I have had" Loki wobbled.
"Well you have drunk like 3 crates of ale" I huffed. We ran into Lady Frigga and her personal maid.
"Drunk I see?" Lady Frigga smiled behind her hand.
"So is Thor, The Warriors 3 and Lady Sif" Loki started singing to himself "Has he ever drunk like this before?" I let a puff of air out. Loki may be of the bean pole gene but he was still heavy.
"Only when Thor makes him drink" Lady Frigga shook her head. Loki started singing and dancing.
"*HIC* When she sings, She sings come home" He collided with a pillar "*HIC* Ow," Loki said as he collapsed on the floor. Still singing.
"Wish I could say this would knock some sense into him but this is Loki, Drink makes him like Thor" Lady Frigga sighed "Loud and obnoxious"
"I might be full *HIC* But I can still hear you" Loki pointed to us both as we leaned over him.
"I said it loud enough"
"I'll get him back to his bed, My Lady" I bowed as I helped Loki up with my one arm. I wrapped his arm over my shoulder and we walked further down the hall.

After 3 failed attempts, I finally got Loki back in our room.
"*HIC* Amelia, I *HIC* love you *HIC*" This was such an honest and eloquent statement. Even if he does tell me every day.
"I love you too" I smiled as Loki fell forward and his face landed between my breasts. I did let out a surprised squeak.
"Happy place" He mumbled. He then lifted his head up and stared at me "*HIC* Marry *HIC* Me *HIC*" Loki hiccupped most of what he said.
"Pardon?" I was a little taken back. I didn't know how to respond.
"*HIC* Amelia Grace, *HIC* Will You *HIC* Marry *HIC* Me? *HIC*"
"Loki, Ask me when your sober" I pushed Loki onto the bed and tucked him.
"I will" Was the last words I heard from the drunk God for Loki had passed out.
