I looked up to see Lady Sif holding me by the shoulders. I blinked as I looked at her.
"I got you" She smiled. Tears fell silently "It's okay to cry" Lady Sif led to a nearby bench and sat me down. She hand me a handkerchief as I wiped my eyes.
"I'm sorry you had to see me like this"
"It is fine" That was all it took for me to fall apart. Lady Sif just sat there. Holding me "Shh, it's okay" Lady Sif whispered, rubbing my back soothingly. It was odd seeing Lady Sif this way. Normally she is seen without emotion other than I want to kill you.
"I shouldn't be like this" I whimpered.
"Why are you then?"
"I went to see Elena" I sniffed. I didn't want to make a huge deal out of it. I cleared my throat a bit before I let out a sigh "I had to hear what she wanted. You know" I told Lady Sif everything. Afterwards, I stared at my good hand "She was my best friend for 17 years. Yeah it was toxic, I see that now"
"But she was still your best friend" Lady Sif nodded "I thought your friendship was over a month ago? When she tried to kill you"
"I was but it wasn't. I needed to find out why she wanted to kill me" I hid my face with my hand.
"So this is a best friend break up?" Lady Sif put her hand over my cast. I nodded. Lady Sif pulled me in for a hug. I could feel the tears threatening to fall and I really struggled to keep it together "I may have a plan"
"A plan that includes me?" I sniffed as I wiped my tears away.
"Yeah. It goes like this: We find a play to watch, eat loads of terrible, terrible food, and get so piss drunk that you forget your own name" Lady Sif offered. I blinked at her, mouth wide open.
"Why would you do this for me?"
"Because I know what it is like to lose a best friend and to go through that shit on your own is rough" Lady Sif smiled sadly "I'm sure Thor and the 3 idiots would gladly help cheer you up with booze"
"Thor would" I agreed.
"Pretty sure Loki could as well" Lady Sif looked at me. I frowned at her.
"Why would Loki help me?"
"Because he loves you" I pulled away. I tried to make a face that said I didn't know what she was talking about. But then I remembered the rose in my pocket. And gave it all away by grinning "I knew it!"
"Lady Sif. I -" Lady Sif put her hand over my mouth.
"Stop with the lady. I ain't no lady" She removed her hand "Now, We will go drink and you can forget about everything" Lady Sif stood up and held her hand out for me to take. I was rather hesitant to take it "Don't worry, I'll have you back by midnight"

As the night went on, Thing kind of unravelled. Actually, that is an understatement. Depending on one's interpretation of a disaster, This night could definitely qualify as one.

Thor and the Warriors 3 had joined us somewhere along the way and were more than happy to drink with us. Thor was surprised to see me drinking and without my bodyguard. When Lord Hogun asked who he was on about, Lady Sif threatened to stab him if he revealed any personal information without my consent. I put my hand on her arm to say thank you.
"I wasn't going to say anything. And stabbing is Loki's thing" Thor pointed at Lady Sif.
"Get those fingers out of my face before I break them" Lady Sif warned. Thor backed away.
"Scared of a girl, Thor?" Lord Volstagg chimed.
"Only three women scare me" Thor held up 3 fingers "One is my mother. Two is Sif here and 3 is Amelia" Thor counted "And I don't not fancy dying today"
"I scare you?" I scrunched my face up. Thor nodded.
"You are the only woman that scarred me enough to keep my room clean" Everyone laughed at Thor. Well everyone but me. I knew I was a scary person when there was a mess involved.

After about 3 hours of heavy drinking, Lord Fandral had joined us and had lost his trousers.
"Where are my trousers?!" He yelled. His pale arse was shining brighter than the moons on a clear night and his fingers were trying to hide his, well, other assets "Can someone find my trousers. My balls are freezing!"
"Clearly a lost cause" Lady Sif whispered in my ear. Thor was drunk and stumbling. (He had landed in the fountain a few times) Fandral's face showed the signs of a desperate man, clinging to hope and pride, which both had been lost hours and hours ago.
"Where did his trousers go?" Lord Hogun tilted his head.
"We don't know" Lady Sif and I replied. We both downed our drinks as Lord Volstagg brought another round.
