It was a calm week. Nice and tranquil. No one threatened the 9 realms. Lord Fandral was being his usual flirty self with all the maids. Lord Volstagg and Lord Hogun was racing each other in the training courtyard. Things were good.

That was before Loki announced he had to leave for a mission to the Frost Giant's Realm. For some reason, Thor wasn't needed (unless things go terribly wrong). He was leaving at five in the morning and I was used to being up early, but lately, getting out of a warm bed where my kind, loving significant other is, Makes it harder each day. And yes, I am sulking.

*Ding*Ding*
I groaned as I slammed my hand on the alarm. Why did I think getting up at this time in the morning was a good idea. I wasn't at work till 9 so I could have slept in for another 2 and half hours. But I wanted to say bye to Loki. I relish in the feel of the hard body behind me before switching off the alarm, then takes a moment to fully wake.
"Why are you awake at this god awful hour?" Loki grumbles.
"Not particular reason" I rubbed my eyes. I was lying but I think he knew that.
"Amelia, Did you really get up to see me off for a mission?" He whispers, afraid his normal voice would be too loud in the darkness of the bedroom.
"... No"
"Amelia?"
"Well, you're going to be gone for a few days," I replied, voice still thick from sleep. Loki sits up and swings his legs out of the bed. I take a few seconds to admire his muscular back, then I swing my legs out of bed. Just as I turn away, a pair of arms slide around my waist from behind, holding me in place "I wanted to say bye"
"I'm going to miss you," Loki whispers, tightening his grip. He places his lips on the pulse point of my neck, which he knows I can't resist. I place my free hand on top of his. We stay like this till I turn around so we face one another. I can feel Loki's heartbeat against my back "Even if it is only for a few days"
"I'll miss you too," After the incident with Elena, I still ain't that great at expressing my feelings. I kind of shut myself off. Loki is understanding and patient, which makes it that much easier.
"Breakfast?" he mouths against my hair. I nodded as Loki releases his grip. I don't want him to go but I know he has to "Come on," He says as I pull out of his embrace and we headed towards the doorway. He follows behind quickly, snatching my hand and lacing their fingers together. Our hands swing between us. Like we didn't have a care in the world.

As we get to the kitchen, We hear voices. We sigh as we let our hands fall to our sides. I take a step forward but Loki stops me as he stands so he's in front of me, one hand wrapped around my waist while the other runs through my hair.
"May as well say goodbye now"
"Be safe and no risky stuff," I reply.
"I'll try my best, but no promises. But if I have to be safe, So do you" Loki bopped my nose.
"I'll try my best, but no promises" I wink as I repeated his words. He's about to reply when I smashed my lips against his. He responds instantly. Pressing his mouth to mine so hard I think my lips might bruise. I whimper a little when he pulls back.
"Be a good girl and you will get more kisses like that when I get back" With one more peck to my lips, he murmurs, "Alright?"
"Don't miss me too much," I smirk, stepping away from him. We linger for a moment before I walked into the kitchen, Greeting Lady Sif and Lord Fandral. He's not even left yet and I couldn't wait for Loki to come back.

A few days turned into a week and although I loved starfishing in my bed again, I definitely wanted Loki to be back. Since Lady Frigga allowed me to help out a bit more now. Though most things required paperwork, I had to get Charlotte to do it since my writing hand was in a cast. But what I could do one hand. I was excelling at. We were back on top with laundry. The only thing that was behind was paperwork but once my cast was off. I could crack that out in a few days.

I knock as I arrive at Thor's room. A laundry basket was placed on my hip.
"Who is it?" I hear his voice boom.
"Room service" I spoke.
"You may enter" I hear him reply. I took a deep breath as I open the door. I had expected to smell a sewer but it was oddly fresh smelling.

"Ahh. Amelia. Good to see you" Thor beamed. I put the basket down on the bed as he wrapped his arms around me. Lifting me off the floor.
"You don't need to hug me every time you see me" I insisted.
"I know but I'm still going to do it" Thor grinned after he put me back on the ground.
"I see that you have maintained your room" I waved my hand around.
"I couldn't risk you bursting a blood vessel. Loki would slice me in two" Thor sat on the window sill and I went around picking the clothes up "Are you sure you should be working?"
"Your mother said I was fine. I am only allowed to help out with laundry and giving orders out" I walked into the bathroom. Tidying the towels.
"Sounds normal really" Thor pointed at me. I looked out of his window. Towards the rose bush that he usually sits at "He ain't there yet"
"What are you talking about?" I sighed. It was so much easier now that Thor knew about me and Loki. Despite the fact that he is the second biggest gossip in the 9 realms. Lord Fandral being the first.
"My Brother is not at the rose bush"
"Do you know where he is?" I whispered.
"Not quite. But he is on his way back. Heimdall confirmed it. Somewhere in the next 24 hours," Thor folded his arms. I pinched my lips to stop myself from smiling. I did, however, Do a little happy wiggle "Has he really had that much effect on you?"
"I don't know what you mean" I insisted. Thor chuckled.
"Come on, Amelia. I've seen how you two look at each other. In a single glance, You have lived entire lifetimes" I stared at Thor.
"That is oddly poetic for you" I smiled.
"Well, I ain't all brawn. Mother did make sure that I went to school. Someone had to keep an eye on Loki"
"More like he kept an eye on you. You forget that we went to the same school. Might have been a few hundred years apart but the teachers still speak of your antics"
"Only because mother made me and Loki go to school and I dread to think what stories they tell" Thor patted my good shoulder "Oh, Sif said that your house will be fixed up if you ever plan on going back there" I took a deep breath.
"I can't go back. Elena has already charmed her way back into town once. I can't risk it again" I rubbed my arm.
"Speaking of whom, She has been asking for you" Thor tossed a pear in the air "Something about how you owe her an apology for blasting her in the wall"
"I didn't even know I did that!" I ran a hand down my face "I still don't"
"I told her that. She still insists on speaking to you" Thor took a bite of the fruit.
"Maybe when Loki gets back" I stared at my hand "Did you find anyone from the families missing a daughter?"
"Sorry but no. No families that have powers have had a daughter in the last 25 years. All sons" Thor scratched his nose. My shoulders dropped. I really did belong to no one "But I may have a lead"
"Really? Do tell"
"I have some friends on Midgard. I sent them a photo of you and provided them with some of your DNA and they are going to see if you match any families down there"
"Midgard? Isn't that where you met Jane?" I questioned as Thor looked at me with wide eyes.
"How do you know about Jane?"
"You talk a lot when you are drunk" I smiled. Thor didn't smile back "So there are people in Midgard that can help me?"
"That's what you are fussed at? Not the fact I took your DNA and gave it away?"
"I know you, Thor. You did it for the right reasons, I can't fault you for that" I picked up the washing basket and placed it on my hip "Now, I have stood around for far too long. Let me know what the Midgardian's say about me"
"Take it steady Amelia"
"You too Sparkles"

I got back to my room around 11 at night. I had spent most of the day sorting out schedules, Who goes where and just the manager side of things. Poor Charlotte was rushed off her feet. I think she is looking forward to her day off at the weekend. I had a new cast put on, One that allows me to hold a pen now. This will make things so much easier. The doctor advise that I don't do too much as I could rebreak the bone in my wrist. I was somewhat going to listen as I had so much to do.

I hung my coat up and I took my apron off. I felt something swift in my pocket. I grinned as I pulled out a single rose.
"How did you get in there?" I spoke as I quickly went to the bathroom. I placed the rose in a glass of water. I decided to put it on the window sill since that was the best place for sunlight.
"I love you my crystal" I read the paper. I looked at the rose. I could feel my cheek burn a little. The edges of my lips were turned up a lot. I ran my fingers along the delicate petals "I love you too my Prince" I stood at my bathroom sink and washed my face.

As I turned to head back into the bedroom, A pair of arms slide around my waist, holding me in place. I flinched at first but I soon relaxed.
"I've missed you"
"I missed you too, Loki"
