TW: Mentions of previous abuse/ Mentions of seggsy time✌🏼😗

Lenora Dalsing;

The front doors of the hospital slide open as I approach them, making my exit. My eyes lock with Irving and I sigh in relief.

"Thank fuck. I thought I'd have to call an Uber. Can you drop me off at the restaurant? I left my car there last night."

"I brought it home for you already. I drove there and got a ride back after dropping it off at your house." I look at him for a moment in confusion. "Wilkes let me know you left it there." I nod my head in understanding.

Still don't know why he's pretending to give a shit when he didn't before.

Irving opens the passenger door allowing me to get in before closing it for me. I settle myself into my seat as I wait for him. He opens the door and I pull down the passenger visor to study the artwork of fucking Dolion Wraith.

I look beyond fucked up.

My eyes begin watering with tears as Irving settles himself in, starting the engine. He glances over and notices my state.

"Hey what's wrong? Are you okay?" He tucks my hair behind my ear allowing a better view of my face. "He can't hurt you anymore, Lenora. He's gone now."

"No it's not that..." I sniffle.

"Well what is it then?" he questions in confusion.

"What do you mean? Look at me! I look fucking gruesome! It's gross." I begin crying feeling overwhelmed from the recent events. This causes Irving to burst out laughing. "Fuck you! It's not funny!" I smack his arm, wiping away my tears.

"It's not bad, Nora. It could be a lot worse... If anything, you look like a badass." I look to him trying to catch his lie but I find no bluff. "It's kind of hot." He winks at me, smirking. He looks away immediately after, propping his hand up on the shoulder of my seat, turning his body around partially as he pulls out from his parking space. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"You're something else, Irving." I smirk.

"You say it like it's a bad thing." he grins. "So what's happening with dear Dolion Wraith?" he asks causing me to sigh.

"I don't know for sure if I'm completely honest. They filed the report and recommended I press charges to try him for aggravated assault." I rest my head against the seat.

"You don't seem very bothered."

"I don't know what to say. My boyfriend beat the shit out of me. I was hospitalized— I mean look at my fucked up face. I've been put in a position that I never saw myself being in. I feel weak and useless. I feel like I should have done more— could have done more to make him stop. So what should I say?" I speak softly trying not to break down. He reaches over and grabs my left hand. He pulls it to his mouth, placing a kiss on the top of it as he watches the road.

"None of this was your fault. I hope you know that. Feeling weak is understandable right now... but that doesn't make it true. You're strong, Lenora. I know that. Goren knows that. If you don't know that then you're lying because we both know you're too far up your own ass to think differently." he jokes nudging me. I let out a small giggle.

"Thank you, Irving."

"So where is he now?"

"I assume they're holding him in custody. I'm thinking I should probably file a restraining order for when they let him out."

"I thought you were pressing charges."

"Yes but I don't know if they'll follow through with charging the incident as a felony. They could just as easily write it off as a misdemeanor."
