This is Lenora's Outfit😩^^^

I recommend listening to "Where's my love" by SYML this chapter. I literally just listened to it on repeat💀

I went ahead and put it up there just in case. so yeahhhh.

This chapter shows affects of depression and if that's triggering or uncomfortable for you then i don't recommend reading it.

Present; Authors POV;

Before Lenora knew it, several weeks had passed. It had been a very difficult and numbing time for her. She never went back to the firm. The only time she got out of bed was to spend Goren's 8th birthday with him and Irving, and to feed and show Goren that she wasn't dead. Wilkes had called, texted, and even showed up to her home numerous times but she ignored him every time. Goren had noticed these obvious changes but he knew better than to ask.

When he knew she had fallen asleep he would go into her room and do his best to tuck her in. He'd wipe her puffy tear stained cheeks with a warm rag, careful not to wake her up. Then he'd return to his room and call Irving, updating him on her health.

"I'm getting worried, Irving..."

"I know, Goren..."

Lenora had decided to pick herself up in time for the court hearing. It had been the day she would finally know if she could obtain full legal custody of Goren. She stood in the shower letting the hot water soak over her body. She had hoped that by the time she got out, her eyes would no longer be puffy. She was wrong. She looked as bad as she felt. She cried non-stop for the first 3 weeks. After that, the pain came in flashes.

She had been confused as to why she felt so much pain when she had only indulged in anything romantic with Wilkes for a week. The feelings had been there for only a week before that, she thought.

She stepped out of the shower, looking into the mirror. Her body had grown thinner. Her collar bone had become more visible, as did her pelvis. Her eyes were bloodshot red and still puffy from her last crying session, no less than an hour ago. The sight made her want to cry all over again. She took her towel and wrapped it around her fragile frame.

She entered her closet and began searching for a proper outfit. She decided on a solid blouse and dress pants. She used a belt to hold them up as they no longer fit her as they used to. She then used a formal jacket to cover her petite shoulders.

After sliding on her outfit and her black flats, she blow dried her hair and proceeded to check on Goren. She exited her room and continued down the hall. She stopped at his door and knocked twice. No answer. She knocked again. No answer.

"Gorey?" She opened the door cautiously. He sat at the end of his bed fully dressed in his formal pants, shirt, and shoes. In his hand, against his face, was the house phone. His head jolted towards the place his sister stood before he muttered Got to go and hung up the phone. "What— Who were you talking to?" She questioned confused.

"Lenora..." He looked at her with fear in his eyes.

"What is it? Are you okay?" She sat down beside him.

"Nora, that was Irving..."

"Is he hurt? What happened?"

"Our lawyer got into an accident and he can't come today..."

"Well that's okay... they can adjourn it."

"No... they gave us a sub attorney." He spoke softly and slowly.

"Okay?.. Goren it's not that big of a deal."

"Lenora, our lawyer is Wilkes." he spit out.
