"Okay, Goren. Are you ready?" I ask, slinging my bag over my shoulder and looking down at my phone.

"Yup."

Dolion: Hey I'm assuming you left. Catch up w/ you later.

I'll go look for him in a bit.

Dad: Nora, I'm going to need you to bring Goren back to the house. Your mother is being difficult at the moment and I need to sort everything out. I'd rather not argue with her in front of Goren. I'll see you when you get here. Love you guys:)

"At the moment"? That's rich.

I begin typing out my response; No problem. Love you too dad. See you in a bit.

Dawn: Hey Nora! What time does the ceremony start?

Dawn: Hello?

Dawn: It's okay I asked your father. I'll see you later on!

"Okay," I inhale deeply clasping my hands together. "Well let's see if we can find Dolion real quick to let him know I'm barely leaving, before we go."

"I think I saw him walk through there." Goren points towards the side exit.

I grab his hand and we begin walking towards the exit door. When we walk through the door, there are several families still standing around in groups either waiting on someone or speaking with someone.

I continue to walk with Goren at my side. When I turn my head, I finally spot Dolion. He is leaning against the wall on the other side of the building, barely visible. As I take a step in his direction, I see a familiar face lean over and brush her lips against his neck. It was her.

The faintest amount of tears began welling in my eyes and I watch him smirk and welcome her touch, oblivious to the fact that I was watching. He pulls her in by the small of her back embracing her as he would, me.

Before Goren has a chance to see anything I grab his attention.

"You know what, Gory? I forgot! He messaged me saying he had to leave. You must have seen someone else earlier."

"How do you forget that?" He giggles as if I were the most ridiculous person in the world. In all fairness, I probably am after trusting Dolion so deeply.

Goren and I start for the crowd in the opposite direction. I let my eyes drop to the floor, as I sink into my thoughts.

Why would he do this? Why would he allow me to care for him and convince me that he cared for me? I thought he was different.

I am interrupted as I slam into someone else's chest.

"Oh- shit! I'm so sor-"

"Lenora?"

I look up, grasping my nose, to find that the chest I collided with belongs to my old friend, Irving.

"Irving?" I chuckle still holding my nose as it has now begun trickling traces of blood.

"Are you okay, Nora?" Goren asks as he quickly notices my state causing Irving to grasp the damage he has done to my face.

"I'm okay, Goren"

"Here, Lenora. Take this." Irving interrupts, handing me a handkerchief he had just pulled from his pocket. "I'm really sorry about that." He makes a motion with his index finger circling his own nose.

"It's fine. Really. Don't worry about it." I chuckle now using the handkerchief to stop the blood flow leaving my nostrils.

"I leave you alone for 3 minutes and come back only to see you've thrashed some poor woman." A disembodied voice jokes. My eyes glance over searching for the person who possessed the monotonous yet very appealing voice.
