Alina arrived half an hour after I came home. Meanwhile I managed to drink two more cups of coffee and I was on my limits already. The amount of coffee was probably unhealthy already but it was the only thing that kept me functioning. I was on autopilot and I wonder that how I even managed to make two brides pretty.

"You look shit" she stated and placed the take-away boxes on the kitchen table. I loved my brutally honest sister. She knew I won't get offended by her words, especially when she was just stating the facts. I did look like a shit.

"Seen better days indeed" I sighed and let Alina to get the stuff ready. Once she had opened the boxes and got us plates, I poured some soy sauce into the small bowl and pulled the chopstiks apart from each other. I rolled them together in my hands few times to get rid of the little sticks that were poking out and reached for the first piece of the Philadelphia.

"So what happened exactly.. You never told me how the situation escalated to that point..." Alina asked and dipped her piece into the soy for a moment where I just let mine sunk into the salty sauce. I loved soy and the saltiness in it. And maybe the current condition I had also somehow affected the way my brain was working because I took the piece of sushi out from the bowl when it had literally sucked in half of the sauce I had in the bowl

"Umh... You remember when Aki told that he has to take some extra evening shifts, to cover some guy or what ever... And usually on those nights when he was working I'd ask Vilma to come over or go to her place" I started and put the salty sushi into my mouth. Yes I loved soy but this was indeed a bit too much so I stood up and took myself a glass of water to get rid of the taste in my mouth. I sat back down and placed the glass on the table next to the plate. Alina nodded so I continued.
"At some point Vilma also got busy on those exact same evenings.. At first I did not suspect anything really. Until, one night, she was here and got a text from someone and she started to giggle like a little girl and when I asked what it was, she said that she had some guy around and asked if she was up to meet him. Soon after when she left, Aki texted me that he has to stay some overtime and somehow that pattern started to repeat. Vilma started to find excuses why not to meet and Aki took more and more evening shifts. So, then four days ago I decided to just go to hers, to see if my inner feeling was right and well... I didn't even need to knock because they were just about to leave the apartment, hand in hand, sharing kisses.. Got my proof there"

Alina's expression was a mix of anger and sadness. She was never a huge fan on Vilma. Alina always thought that there was something sketchy in her but that was how Vilma was. I never paid too much attention to it because she was a fun to be around and we had known since forever. And honestly, is there really anyone who is waiting her best friend to go behind your back? I don't think so.

"So what happened then?" Alina asked and drank her water. I sighed and grabbed another piece of sushi between my chopsticks.

"I came home and threw his stuff down from the balcony.. Maybe ripped some of them too" I said while dipping the piece in the soy. Alina laughed quietly.

"Sounds exactly like you.. Did he collect his shit?"
"Did you see anything lying on the ground?" I asked back and she shook her head. Aki indeed did come home that night the incident happened, trying to explain, using all the classic "it's not how it looked like" and "it was a mistake" bullshit but no, I did not let him do any of those. If there was something in this World that I did not tolerate, it was cheating. So I threw him out as easily as his stuff, not from the balcony tho but, it crossed my mind.

"Haven't seen him since.. " I sighed and placed the sushi in my mouth.

"What a dick... Anything about the other idiot?"
"Vilma?"
Alina nodded and took another Philadelphia. I shook my head. I hadn't heard from her either, I didn't even want to. What they did was a pretty damn painful so I didn't need to see them just to pour more salt into my wounds.
