After playing with Mal0 and having dinner with mom I went to bed early.

I wasn't sure if I was anxious about tomorrow or if it was fear of encountering the anomaly.

Mal0 also seemed to be a bit restless, producing some static on my phone speaker.

I still remember the twinge of embarrassment brought on by the conversation with my mom at dinner....

-Ah, mom?

-Yes, Quentin?

-Uhh...

(I'd like to go to the cinema to do some research on a possibly dangerous anomaly).

-Would it be all right if I went to the movies tomorrow with a classmate?

I could swear my mom's eyes lit up for a split second.

-You didn't tell me you had a friend. -She said raising an eyebrow.
-Tell me more.

-Ah.
-You see...
-I... wouldn't call her a "friend."

-Her?!
-So she's your girlfriend, Quentin? -She exclaimed giving a little clap.

I almost choked on the rice I was chewing.

-No!
-We're just classmates, nothing more.

-Aww, don't be like that honey.
-Give her a chance, she'll probably like you.

-Hahaha... -I laughed nervously.

I couldn't help but blush a little, she could always make me feel good about myself, if only for a few moments.

-I'll leave you some money to buy her something, okay?

-I--

-All women like gentlemen. -She said, nodding her head.
-Now tell me, what movie are you guys going to watch?

-Uhhh....
-I haven't asked her that yet. -I answered scratching my head.

-It'll be a surprise then.
-Hope you have a great time, Quentin.

I woke up a little late, not having any classes to worry about.

Mal0 read the cell phone notifications while I was brushing my teeth.

-Come to the movies at 7PM.

-Memhpn ahm mihtl phate

-What? -She asked, somewhat confused.

I repeated what I had said, after spitting the toothpaste into the sink.

-Seems a little late to me.

-Uh-huh.
-Especially considering the rain.

-Hah?

Mal0 turned on the cell phone screen and displayed the week's weather.

-With strong breezes coming from the east, it's advisable to bring an umbrella. -She explained, as a weather reporter would.
-100 percent humidity--
-Hahaha!

I couldn't help but laugh with her, it was quite comical to imagine an unusually tall anthropomorphic weather reporter telling you to bring an umbrella.

-I won't be carrying an umbrella anyway, sorry Mal0.

-You'll catch a cold! -she exclaimed worriedly.

-I think I told you before.
-Umbrellas are for weak people! -I exclaimed proudly.

Although I couldn't see her I could hear her sigh through the loudspeaker.
