I walked home, the whole way back was blurred with tears.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, waiting for any comment from the voice with static.
I turned it on, only for it to show a chipped screen.

I went into my room and threw myself on my bed, without even taking off the clothes I was wearing.

I sank my head into my pillow, trying to fall asleep so I wouldn't have to think about what had happened.

But it was impossible, Mal0 was really gone.

Surely the foundation would contain her again, if they didn't run a million tests on her first.

But I was sure they wouldn't hurt her.

...

I hoped.

I couldn't imagine the foundation being nice to her, or any other anomaly for that matter.

I had to get her out of there as soon as possible, but I had no means of doing so.

I didn't even know where it was, nor did I have any way to get there.

I began to devise various plans in my head, becoming more and more desperate as I realized that each one of them would not work.

I buried my face in my pillow and began to cry, as I tried to think of ways to help her.

I just wanted Mal0 back.

I was woken up by the usual alarm, but I just turned it off.
I felt horrible and didn't want to get out of bed.

I laid back down, waiting for Mal0's voice to scold me for falling asleep.

-If only... -I muttered under my breath, as I settled back into bed.
-If anyone saw me like this, they would laugh at me.
-...
-Especially Mia..

I didn't usually skip classes, but today I didn't feel like doing anything at all.

I closed my eyes hoping to fall asleep soon, so I wouldn't have to feel like this for a few moments at least.

...

An idea popped into my head, making me jump out of bed.

(Mia.) -I thought, as I rummaged through my room looking for my school uniform....

(She had that SCP on her phone, didn't she?) -I thought as I left the house, without even taking the time to eat breakfast.

I started walking towards the school, this time without using the earphones I always used to communicate with Mal0.

I could hear the conversations of the people near me, silently judging me as they passed by.

I walked quickly to school, arriving even before schedule.
I quickly went up to my classroom and waited for Mia to come.

(She had to come, she couldn't miss so many days of school... Could she?)

(...)

I leaned my face on my desk.
I didn't feel tired, even though I hadn't been able to sleep well the night before.
I felt so...

Hollow.

...

Little by little the room began to fill up with students, but the seat in front of me was still empty.

Classes continued as usual, although, without the comments of that voice in my ear, they became as boring as before all this had happened.

My brain went into autopilot for the rest of the day, as my teachers' words went in one ear and out the other, until the dismissal bell rang.
