Soon after that I fell asleep on the bed in the containment room, I didn't have much to do anyway.

...

We both agreed to join Alpha-9.
So why did I have this feeling of guilt hanging over me?

I was lying in bed, my eyes closed, I still didn't want to wake up, even though I could feel the light from the tubes in the ceiling.

I wanted to open my eyes and wake up at home, or at school, with some teacher scolding me or something similar.

But I already knew where I was, and what being in here meant.

-...

Reluctantly I opened my eyes, squinting at the light from the containment chamber.

(Don't they ever turn off the lights in here?)
(...)
(I guess not, they are constantly watching us).

Slowly I stood up, the bones in my body cracking as I stretched.

I looked at my surroundings, and then at the table in the center of the room.
It looked like Mal0 was asleep inside the phone, or perhaps she had left for another test.

...

I don't know how much time I spent wandering around the containment room, but at least I was able to distract myself for a while in the chamber bathroom.

I washed my face in the sink, stopping to look at my face.

The scars I had had healed quite a bit, though they stood out a bit, the skin on them being a bit pinker than the rest.

Remembering how I could see my flesh through the cuts made me shudder as I recalled the events of that day.

I knew Mal0 hadn't done it on purpose, but still...

...

I shook off those thoughts and walked back toward the bed, sitting down on it and---.

The bedroom door opened, making me jump immediately, as if I had received an electric shock.

-...
-Are you all right? -Asked a concerned male voice.

-Yes, yes. -I answered, calming down a bit.

-Well, we need your presence in the chamber of an SCP, as part of a test.

-...
-All right. -I nodded, resigning myself.
-Can I ask if the anomaly is dangerous?

-...
-No, it is not dangerous. -He answered, shaking his head.

Knowing the foundation, that answer did not reassure me at all.
I hoped it wasn't some anomaly like 682, capable of devouring me without even blinking twice.

I was looking forward to chatting with that plague doctor again, he looked kind of nice, or at least the only time I saw him.

As we were walking through the halls of the foundation, I could see a cat wandering along the path.

I immediately stopped to take a closer look at it, it was really adorable....

...

-Wait a minute! -I exclaimed, startling the cat.

The scientist in front of me turned around worried, but calmed down when he saw what he was looking at.

Half a cat, as if it had been cut in half, was walking on its two front legs, as if nothing was happening.

-What happened to it? -I asked, pointing to the cat.

-Nothing happened to him, Josie was always like that.
