Apologies for the short length of the chapter but we haven't written for a while so we are slowly breaking back into routine and hopefully will have some proper chapters soon 😊

There's something beautiful about the art of photography. We go our whole lives racing against time and moments fall through our fingers. But for just one second we freeze frame a single second through a lens. Then we look down at the camera screen and we admire the moment that could have been missed by everyone but now everyone can appreciate that single second.

That's what I thought to myself every time I looked down at the screen. Right now I was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk taking a picture of a golden retriever who was tied to a post whilst their owner was shopping in the store.

I flicked through the photos on my camera and paused when I heard screaming in the distance. Not the typical scream for help or anything but that frequency only had one word to describe it.

Fangirls.

I saw four girls bundled around someone who kept their hood up and was clearly just trying to get on with their day and I rolled my eyes as I got to my feet and proceeded down to the diner a few blocks down.

"And for my favourite customer Y/N your usual order of chicken, bacon and waffles,"

I smiled as Sandra placed the plate in front of me and nodded and smiled "Thank you,"

I caught her beam in the corner of my eye but couldn't bring to courage to tilt my head further to look her in the eye.

She walked away and I smiled as I looked down at my plate. For a second I thought I literally heard bells ringing down from heaven I then realised it was the bell above the door and shook my head of my own stupidity. I moved my camera off my lap and on the table briefly as I fumbled to open my camera bag.

As I was doing this I heard someone let out a long breath and heard footsteps approach me "Look I know it's your job and you have bills to pay, but can you please not take my picture,"

I froze not sure how to react in this situation at all confused of why this male voice thought I was going to take his photo.

I cleared my throat "Um I wasn't going to-"

"You can be honest, I won't get mad just please leave me alone,"

"Is there a problem sir? Why you bothering my lovely Y/N?"

I felt a weight fall off my shoulders at the sound of Sandra's voice and I kept my attention at putting my camera in the bag.

"Now listen here you seem like a very handsome fella who might have people think he is a good looking guy I want his picture but our Y/N doesn't do that she never takes photos without permission and most her work is animals, nature and yanno things that don't talk English and disturb her when she's eating her meal,"

There was a very long pause as I put my bag down and I tried to divert my attention away and focus more on the fact my food was rapidly lowering in temperature.

"My mistake, I'm sorry miss," the mans voice murmured down to me.

I gave a small nod keeping my gaze down "It's fine,"

I saw his feet walk behind me to a different booth and I let out a silent sigh of relief as I picked up the maple syrup and poured it over the food.

I felt full and like I could explode at any second but I didn't care.

I felt great.

I opened my bag and began fumbling around for my purse.

"Oh don't you worry about that Y/N, that strange and attraction young man has covered your food for you,"

I raised an eyebrow as I heard the bell ring again and in the corner of my eye I saw a figure walk past in the window and I turned to look and I did not expect him to be looking back at me.

It was times like this I really wish I had the super power to freeze frame life. It was like it was slow motion my heart was racing from the anxiety of the eye contact with another human, my palms were sweaty but even with all of this my eyes would not break contact with his beautiful blue eyes.

There was something familiar about him his face was hiding mostly under his hoodie but I caught sight of the small smile that twitched on his lips and before I knew it he faded from view.

"God is both a miracle worker and a pure evil being for both blessing us and depriving us with that work of art," Sandra groaned.

I couldn't help but smile.
