As the weeks went by I felt like I was forgetting something, something big not just,

'oh I forgot to brush my teeth this morning'

more like

'it's someone's birthday soon, and I have no idea whose'

Then it hit me. It was Luck's birthday on the 11th, and normally it wouldn't be a problem. I'm great with gifts, but this time was different. I had no idea what to get him.

'It's still a week away... It's not weird if I ask him what he wants.' I reassured myself and started wandering around looking for him.

Eventually I found him on the roof. I tried scaring him, but I tripped and fell flat on my face.

Bang

Luck jumped and turned around.

"Beckie?" He rushed over, helping me up.

"This is what I get for wanting to scare you, huh? What are you doing up here?"

"Nothing in particular, I just have a bunch of great memories up here." He looked at me shly and blushed.

I snuggled up to him, loving how my head fits perfectly into the crook of his neck.

"I was actually looking for you because I have to ask you something."

"What is it?" He asked curiously, tipping his head to one side, reminding me of a dog.

"What do you want for your birthday?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?"

"Yep."

"Come on, there has to be something!"

"I suppose there is one thing," He grinned at me childishly.

"What's that?" I asked, relieved to have finally gotten an answer out of him.

"You." He looked at me and smiled, his fringe falling into his eyes and making him look even cuter.

"Ok, I'll have to think about that," I said, getting up to leave.

"What? Going already?" Luck pouted at me.

"I suppose I could stay a liiittle longer," I said, sitting back down.

We spent some time telling jokes and stargazing. After a while we gathered an audience which consisted of Vanessa, Noelle and Finral all peeking through the window watching us.

"I really have to go," Luck admitted with a look of sadness.

"Well goodnight then." I stood up with him kissing him and we turned around aiming for the hatch to let us back into the base, but there was no way through. The three spies were all struggling to fit down the hatch. They were stuck.

"At least our suspicions have been confirmed?..." Finral tried to break the icy silence.

"I'm too young to die. There are still so many drinks I have to try!" Vanessa moaned.

"I'm a royalty, she can't harm me." Noelle said, somehow managing to do her signature hair flip.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked slightly annoyed.

"We were going to watch the sunset, but it looks like the roof is already taken." She explained herself quickly.

"And you're sure you guys had no idea and came up here to spy on us?" I asked, having seen right through them.

"What?"

"Us? Nah..."

"What do you think of us, Beckie!" They all said, overlapping each other. This, of course, confirmed my theory.

"Guys, it's great that you care about me but, this is going a little far. And also we were going to tell you at some point when we were ready, we're not even sure where this is going yet."

"Ok. But we really didn't mean to, Yami told me to tell you guys, we're going to have to cut back on rooms and some people will have to share. We're gathering later to discuss who wouldn't mind sharing with who."

That gave me the perfect idea for Luck's present...

*At the meeting*

"For now, we're going to have to free up one room because Zora apparently doesn't have one yet. So, are there any volunteers?" Yami boomed out, the usual tone of boredom in his voice.

I was only half paying attention, so I raised my hand not really looking, thinking there would be several.

"Ok, where do you want to go? And, be quick about it, I have to poop."

"I don't really mind."

Yami gave me his death stare.

Gordon chimed in:

"How about you close your eyes and open them again and whoever you see first will be Beckie's new roommate."

Vanessa made eye contact with Finral and he nodded.

Yami closed his eyes. Suddenly a giant portal appeared swallowing everyone up apart from me and Luck.

Yami opened his eyes and said "Luck," not questioning where everyone else went.

"FINRAL!" He yelled.

"Toilet!"

Finral popped back in and teleported Yami to the bathroom, then everyone else collapsed back into the room.

Then an argument broke out, the main things I heard were things like:

"What was that for?"

or

"Finral, what the heck!"

Luck and I snuck to the edge of the room away from the fight.

"So... I guess we're sharing a room now."

"Who's moving in where?" I asked bluntly.

"Well my room definitely wouldn't have room for another bed, so I'd say I'll come to yours."

"Yea, okay we'll just have to get another bed from somewhere."

"You have a double bed don't you?"

"No, I don't."

"When I peeked in earlier to get you for the meeting, there was a double bed."

"Vanessa!" I growled.

"I mean yeah, it's great to be supportive, but seriously she has to back off!"

"To be fair without her we wouldn't have had our first kiss yet."

"Yet?"

He blushed.

"But you're right, everything after that has been annoying and a little creepy," he added

"So should we cut the bed in half?" I joked, getting back to the main point.

"I wouldn't mind sharing." He said, turning crimson.

"Oh! Well uh, I mean, I guess I'm fine with that." I said turning even redder than him.
