Gibbs did a strange thing. He left his basement around 3 in the morning. If he was ever up, he was in the basement, and he never planned on leaving. But he got a strong urge for some strong coffee from a 24-hour diner only a few blocks away from the NCIS building. So around 0315, he and his primer-gray colored truck was pulling into the parking lot. There were a few other cars, but not many. And then there was a bike. His gut instinct went on high alert. It looked... familiar. His famous gut told him to walk to the other entrance. In doing so, he saw them through the window. Ellie, nestled up with no other than their lone wolf.

Her eyes were closed, he was gently twisting her hair, looking out the window at the sky. The diner was set on a higher foundation, so Gibbs was not on eyelevel with them. He observed the younger man's face. It looked peaceful. Nick Torres was home for good.

Slowly, Gibbs backed away and backed his truck out of the parking lot. There was another 24-hour diner that had some somewhat decent coffee he could get.
