The diner quickly grew accustomed to their business. They'd ride in on a snazzy bike, sit in a booth and order breakfast. This was any time between 22-0100. They'd converse over their plates of waffles with whipped cream and syrup. At some point, the blonde would make her way to his side and snuggle in. Many times she would fall asleep. A man would get out, walk to the other entrance that went past the duo at the window. He'd appear to see them and then stop. He'd reportedly smile, then turn around and back out of the parking lot.
Then between 0500-0700, she would wake up. They'd order coffee, lots and lots of coffee, and more food. They'd leave on the fancy bike, and be back later that night. They puzzled the staff and sure made for great conversation and speculation in the kitchen. But heck, they were a diner. Any business was good business. So they got bright smiles with their orders and cheery queries of "Can I get you anything else?" Because business was business. And usuals were good to have.
