Chapter 47 ✅

Maggie isn't sure why but she got an invite to Bella and Edward's wedding. The two things that conflict her the most are that it's from Edward instead of Bella and it has a plus one, Edward knows that Maggie would potentially bring Paul. Paul and Emmett became... friends after the battle, and Paul was welcomed to join the vampires in Forks for Edward's bachelor party.

Maggie is in a room with Alice and Bella. Bella has red around her eyes revealing lack of sleep.

"What did I say about beauty sleep?" Alice asks in a scolding tone.

"Sorry, bad dream," Bella claims sheepishly. "It was wedding jitters."

"Do you need some help?" Rosalie asks as she walks up to the door, Maggie and Rose smile at each other- Maggie is the only wolf that Rosalie can tolerate. "I could do her hair."

"Really?" Bella asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Please," Rosalie smirks as she walks over and she starts messing with Bella's brown hair. "I'm not offended by your choice in groom."

"Just my blatant lack of respect for mortality."

"Essentially," Rosalie replies.

"Weddings!" Alice chirps as she smiles at Rosalie, Bella, and Maggie. "They bring everyone together."

Rosalie rolls her eyes and she begins to do Bella's hair while Alice does her makeup. Maggie adds some finishing touches to her curled hair and she gets done right as Renee walks in.

"Renee!"

"Hey, sweetie," Renee coos as she hugs Maggie. Renee spots Bella when she and Maggie pull away, and he gasps emotionally. "Oh, my gosh!" She exclaims, her eyes tearing up with pride. "You're so beautiful. Oh, honey!" Here comes the water works as Renee starts to cry. "Crap! My mascara."

"Here..." Maggie hands her a handkerchief from the makeup table.

"Thanks, Mags," Renee says softly. She misses Maggie so much but she knows she's started calling Allison mom now. "I'm still your mom, too, Maggie."

"I know," Maggie replies with a kind smile.

"Charlie!" Renee yells. "Get in here! Oh, Maggie, I met Allison. Charlie's marrying her?"

"He is, yes," Maggie replies with a smile.

Charlie walks into the room with his suit on and Maggie wolf whistles.

"Wow," Maggie gasps. "Who are you and what did you do with my dad?"

She has chosen to accept that Joshua is her father and they're just friends now, not father and daughter. Charlie is her dad because he's the one who raised her.

"I know, I look hot," Charlie muses.

"Damn straight you do, dad," Maggie gushes as she does a playful once over, which makes Charlie wave her off with a blush on his cheeks.

Charlie looks at Bella. "We thought you needed something blue." He opens up a box and reveals a jeweled hair comb. "And something old. Besides your mother."

"Nice," Renee scoffs but she's smiling nonetheless.

"Renee, is Phil here?" Maggie asks and Renee nods,

Maggie kisses her dad on the cheek and goes downstairs. "Hey, Phil."

"Maggie? Wow, you were what, ten the last time I saw you?" Phil asks with an amazed smile.

"Yeah, it's been a while," Maggie replies and Paul walks over and wraps his arms around her from behind; Jasper just saved him from a long debate about vampire and wolf strength with Emmett, and Paul needed his fiancée. "Phil, this is Paul Lahote, my fiancée."

"Hi," Phil greets and he stands Paul's hand. "I'm Phil, I'm married to Renee."

Paul smiles, knowing the name. "Nice to meet you, Phil. Come on, babe, Carlisle says it's about time to take our seats."

Maggie smiles at Phil before she goes with Paul to their seats on the Groom's side. Paul would be sitting on Bella's but he's not leaving Maggie in the row of vampires. They all stand when the music plays and Bella and Charlie come out. Bella looks absolutely beautiful in her designer gown and shows and veil.

Maggie grabs Paul's hand as they sit down and they start with their traditional vows. Paul and Maggie decided on reciting traditional vows, too. Paul kisses the back of Maggie's hand, ignoring Irina Denali's venomous glare as she sits with Kate, Tanya, Carmen, and Eleazar Denali.

"They invited some," Irina says coldly to her coven sisters.

"Irina," Kate scolds.

Irina is glaring at Paul and Seth, whom of which are standing across the yard talking to Sue, Harry, Charlie, and Billy. Maggie is talking to Renee and Allison about Jacksonville and life. Irina is pissed at them because they killed Laurent, despite him trying to kill Bella. She doesn't believe that because Laurent was turning over a new leaf for her. Irina doesn't believe that Laurent would try killing Bella.

"He wouldn't have killed her," Irina claims. "Laurent was a changed vampire."

Eleazar sighs and he walks over to Edward and Bella. "Congratulations on the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony."

"Thank you, Eleazar," Edward says as he shakes the vampire's hand. "I appreciate you guys coming. I'm surprised Irina showed."

"Yeah... we all are," Eleazar replies. "She did good until she saw your wolf friends. They killed Laurent."

"Laurent tried to kill me."

"I know," Eleazar replies to the human with a kind smile. "We all believe you but Irina. Irina had such high faith in Laurent. Vampires like him, like Victoria, James; they never change. If they wouldn't have died, they would have gotten worse or remained the same."

"I believe it," Edward says.

Eleazar claps a hand against Edward's shoulder and he walks away to catch up with Carmen as they talk to some of the other wedding guests. Maggie walks over to them and she congratulates them and she thanks Edward, even though she's not a fan of vampires, especially now that she's a shifter-wolf.

Maggie, Seth, and Paul run out front when they hear a commotion with their immortal hearing. They find Edward and Jacob, face to face.

"Jacob!" Sam yells as he, Embry, and Jared step out of the woods. "That's enough."

"He's just gonna kill her!" Sam declares.

"Bella is no longer our concern," Sam replies steadily. "Let's go. Seth, Maggie, Paul, you guys too."

Since they ran here, they phase and run toward the treaty. Maggie and Jacob play wrestle on the way and they go home to Sam's. They talk about everything and then Paul and Maggie go home to watch movies with Anne because once they're married, they're gonna start looking for them a place of their own and Paul wants to spend as much time with his mom until that happens.
