It's been about a month since the wedding. Paul and Maggie got married (I'm sorry for skipping the wedding), and they found a house across the dirt path from Sam and Emily's place. It's a pretty two bedroom and Anne send them some mum plants as house warming gifts.
The pack is out at the lumber yard with Jacob, Jacob is telling them about what he just now discovered about Bella. She returned from her honeymoon two weeks ago. When Jake saw her at the Cullen mansion, she was pregnant. Big and pregnant. Jacob is getting mad at all the different voices wanting to kill Bella before the baby is born and kills her.
Maggie goes to Sam's after the meeting because Jacob left after telling him he was the grandson of Ephraim Black, the alpha I'm his own time. Paul comes storming in and Sam looks up at him.
"Seth's gone," he says and Sam sits up stiffly. "He followed Jacob."
Sam growls and he storms out himself. He shifts and he runs into the woods. Maggie walks over and she embraces her husband and they hear a howl. Sam's howl. Jared and Embry enter the house and tell them that Leah left too, she followed Seth. Maggie is livid. Seth and Leah leave and abandon them, abandon the Uley pack, for a baby that's going to kill Bella? For Jacob?
Paul brings Maggie home so that she can have a hot bubble bath. He wants her to relax, she needs to relax. Once she's in the tub, Paul gets started on making some hot chocolate with the rainbow colored mini marshmallows on top and some whipped cream. He loves his wife and she's going to get the best tonight after what went on today.
