Today is the first official training day for the wolves and the Cullens to go against the army of newborn vampires. The vampires are already in the clearing when the wolves arrive, in their wolf forms.

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms," Edward informs Carlisle after reading Sam and Paul's minds.

"They came," Carlisle says. "That's what matters."

"Hey, Jake," Bella greets when a russet red wolf stops beside her.

The wolf seems to smile, his tongue lolling. Bella grins but Jacob focuses after getting sharp looks from the Uley siblings.

"Will you translate?" Carlisle asks his son and Edward nods his head.

Carlisle steps forward. Sam, since he is the biggest and the alpha, steps forward, too, to meet Carlisle in the middle. Maggie stays near Jared and Paul.

"Hey, Jake, welcome," Edward says when he notices Jacob, the wolf grunts in disapproval of the vampire's greeting.

"Jasper has experience with newborns," Carlisle informs the wolves first thing. "He'll teach us grow to defeat them."

"How do these newborns differ from you?" Sam asks through his head toward Edward.

"They want to how how the newborns differ from us," Edward translates.

"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood still lingers in their tissues," Carlisle explains. "Our kind is never more physically powerful... than in our first several months of this life."

The pack takes this in with silence and a few low rumbles of growls. Maggie rubs against Paul, feeling uneasy, and he nudges her.

"You're fine, babe, don't worry," Paul mind-links and the white wolf merely nods and she goes to her half-brother, Embry.

Jasper steps forward when Carlisle nods toward him, giving him the reigns of this conversation. This is how Jasper's first decade as a vampire was because Maria wanted to use his empathic ability for her own advantage with her army of newborn vampires. The newborn army isn't something new to Jasper. He knows how to fight them and defeat them, that's why Carlisle is having Jas be the ringleader of these training sessions.

"Carlisle's right," Jasper states. "That's why they are created. A newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army, and no human army could stand against them. The two most important things to remember ember are first... never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. The second... never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that, and you will lose. Emmett? Don't hold back."

Emmett smirks as he cracks his knuckles, walking out into the clearing. "Not in my nature."

Emmett charges ar Jasper with his impossible vampire speed. A speed that impresses Maggie a little bit. But Jasper is a visible blur. Emmett lunges several times, but his large arms grab nothing but air because Jasper is too fact.

"Never lose focus," Jasper says. "One more thing..." he says as carlisle sneaks up behind Edward, they've started practicing, Jasper smirks smugly, "never turn your back on your enemy."

"Sam, can we join?" Maggie asks the alpha. "Please?"

"Not this session, Maggie," Sam replies. "Maybe the next one. This one is for us to learn."

"I'm a hands on learner, Sammy, ask my former teachers," Maggie says.

"Not this session, Magdalynn," Sam snaps. "Enough begging!"

"Your alpha voice doesn't scare me, Samuel," Maggie snarls and her wolf growls.

Edward almost looks amused by the siblings but he says nothing, he can't try to go around the alpha about his orders. Despite how displeased Maggie is. He whispers in Carlisle's ear about their mental argument.

"They're siblings and he's her alpha," Carlisle muses. "They butt heads more than you guys, I'm sure."

Edward hums in agreement as the training continues on with Jasper and Alice, or Jalice.
