"this is the one.." felix thought, tilting his head in attempt to find the peak of the building he stood in front of.
after a whole night of overthinking and malnutrition of not eating dinner or breakfast, it led him to finally settle on the option of visiting the place his girlfriend suggested. 'sex therapy.' he internally read out.
he was very skeptical on his decision, and even the amount of sessions he would be getting here. what could he exactly gain after these sessions? or will he receive anything at all? many questions like that lingered around the males head nonstop.
and till now, he was still hesitant of it. in all actuality, he wasn't a fan of considering therapy. it always gave him a feeling that attending such sessions, only proved that there was something wrong with him. which was definitely not the case. he was well aware that therapy didn't entirely mean sessions assigned to fix a mentally ill person, but also meant just figuring ones feelings out. if he saw it like that- he didn't have a problem in knowing any of his loved ones attended therapy. he would barely be affected and see the same the same way as he did before. however, this logic was hard to force on himself. he wanted himself to be perfect. yes, he was a perfectionist and craved for everything to go right. especially himself. he wanted himself to be as perfect as he could- even if the thought of it was inhumanly impossible, he still tried his best.
but even after trying his best, it never succeeded to be enough. because right now, he was attending sex therapy for the sake of his relationship between his girlfriend to go right. although, he tried his best to perfect himself and his relationship, it was expected that he wasn't successful in that- because his girlfriend was still unsatisfied with him. and that devastated him. but not enough to make him give in. he still wanted to give it his all, and he just hoped- that this session would pay off in the long run.
as he took a step forward from the place he'd been still for a while, he approached the small structured building that was sandwiched between two other tall buildings, somehow shadowing the structure between it. that was something very obvious and purposely done for- nobody would want a building for sex therapy revealed in the open.
he decided it would be a better idea to pull out the card he was handed a night before, keeping it clutched in his palm would make it easier for him to assert anybody that needed investigation about how he got there. not that he knew anybody there. he was a foreigner from Australia and moved in seoul just a few months ago, for the sake of moving away from their parents. it's not that his parents wanted him to move out, it was his own personal desire which he wanted to fulfill by moving away from the comfort of his hometown and settle in an apartment where he could get complete privacy with his girlfriend. but he still didn't get enough time to make new friends around the neighborhood, also being new to explore the streets of seoul.
with the fear of still being new and the feeling of anxiousness of the unpredictable happening, it settled a uneasy pit in his gut. yet, he set aside his blazing desire to flee on his feet that instant and gathered all his courage from every ounce of his body, to push down on the entrance of the structure.
the feeling of warm breezy air welcomed him as he let the door handle frail out of his grip. he looked around, having the tepid temperature easing down his anxiousness. he examined his surroundings and noted how a male was seated in a loft-like area while another one was at the desk. the one at the desk was leaning his head against his arm, an expression of laze and boredom plastered over his face. it was as if none of them even noticed him stepping inside.
