'we could tear each other apart, but fate will bring us together.'

"chan! i'm done taking a shower, you can go now-"

stopping through his sentence, the brunette cocked his head to the side on nowhere sighting the blonde. as per his memory, he could picture the blonde waiting for him at his bed, unlike the unmade bed, sitting empty with its sheets left crumpled.

"chan?"

confused at the blonde's disappearance, the brunette quickly slung a sweatshirt with its matching pair of sweatpants before examining the living room in search of the older.

approaching his destination closer by each step, an octave of chuckles tuned into his ears. although he could familiarize chan's laughter, he could tell unfamiliar chattering from an unknown voice could be tuned out too.

swinging the door of his bedroom open, he blankly stared at the scene unfolding to his front.

'what's jeongin doing here?' but that question was brushed out of investigation when another thought made his blood boil.

'why is jeongin sitting on chan's lap?'

it itched his heart for an answer, a form of distaste shadowing over his concern when he realized chan never objected to it either. in fact he barely seemed to mind with his arm wrapped around the red head's waist.

too absorbed in his thoughts, he barely took notice of how the two had diverted their attention towards his presence.

"ah, felix, you're finished."

jeongin smiled, his full grown grin when he noticed the burning gaze boring lasers into his skull.

'you think?' felix internally scoffed, secretly rolling his eyes as he bitterly sat down next to the two, an equidistant and awkward space between them on the couch.

"sorry i came uninvited, i just missed channie too much." he irked, stealing a glance from the blonde who could easily sense the tension lingering in the air.

biting on his bottom lip, felix kept his gaze fixated at his twiddling thumbs. hearing jeongin call chan the particular nickname, made him scoff for the umpteenth time.

"i didn't know you two knew each other."

giggling in a high pitched squeal, the red hair used one of his slender pale finger to curl the older's blonde locks around it, "we've known each other for a while now, i'm surprised chan didn't tell you."

speaking of which, felix's gaze finally tore away from his lap to glance at the blonde who already had his gaze stuck towards him.

"he didn't." the brunette initiated, "he told me he only had two close friends."

a part of felix hurt, just to imagine chan breaking his trust. but being lied to? he felt stupid for believing him in the first place. of course a blonde like him would be taken, but never did felix assume it was a boy. for all his concern, he assumed chan was straight.

"he never told me he..had a boyfriend already."

it hurt, it really did. even if it shouldn't have, it did. just knowing chan carelessly used him without any emotion and purely for the reason of pleasure, it offended him. but that's what confused him, of course there wouldn't be any feelings involved, chan's job was to execute what he was supposed to do for pleasure. and plus, he had a girlfriend too. involving feelings would make it cheating. with a girlfriend like his, it shouldn't be bothering him that chan was already taken.
