felix was tense, clutching onto the ends of his sleeves, quivering under the material which was not even close enough to keep him warm in such a chilly weather.

but as much as he craved the weather to be the reason of his giddiness, it wasn't. but instead, it was relating to chan and the building he stood in front of.

glancing at the home screen of his phone, he noted the time, '12:01' midnight, just like how chan mentioned in his two line text message. felix was keen, debating on it even, as he re-read the text multiple times since he arrived home. he never replied to it, claiming that he never read if he decided not to show up. but that came to no use, since his head ultimately decided on his arrival. besides, chan was his friend. and felix was willing to risk anything for his cared-ones, even if chan somewhat was compared more as the ones he cared, despite them agreeing to be friends in very less amount of time.

but still, it shouldn't matter now. he's already made up his mind.

the building appealed more isolated in the freezing night, sending shiver of goosebumps down his spine. he just wanted to get over with it, as soon as he could before people back at his apartment could find out he sneaked out at such an hour.

with a final ounce of courage, he stepped forward, pulling on the glass doors even if the sign read, 'push.'. when the doors opened, as he'd expected, the wave of warm conditioned aired washed over him, making his brown locks slightly stray. he rubbed his shoes on the mat upfront and began to explore deeper, his heart pounding in anticipation as he neared chan's office.

with a strong huff of his breath, he raised his hand, ready to knock on the long timbre door which separated him from chan.

but before he could give it a few knocks, he was taken aback when chan beat him too it and swung the door open unexpectedly. he instantly brought his hand back down in embarrassment, locking eyes with chan.

when the blonde noticed him, he too met his eyes, almost melting away in those starry astrophyllite-esque irises gleaming with coruscating constellations and mesmerizing shooting stars.

his brown orbs complimented his dusky hair, matching well with the freckles that he could spend days connecting to form different constellations.

felix was just as lost, a faint shade of crimson shadowing over his freckled cheeks when he realized how chan's trembling pupils were in synch with his.

eventually, he cleared his throat, slicing away the thin awkward air that surrounded them due to the short-lasting daze.

chan snapped away, blinking twice. he realized why the male was standing upfront, his fingers twiddling in anxiety under those sweater paws, his head slightly facing the ground, but enough for him to see that his eyes were directing at his shoes and not him.

he almost teared up, his eyes starting to squint in attempt to not let these masked tears flow. but eventually they did, but before the brunette could notice, he was pulled by wrist, arms stretching around his small figure as he was squished into a hug by the blonde.

felix took a few moments to process what was happening, 'is chan...crying?' he finally thought, having his own unasked questioned answered when he felt a part of his sweater soak. and if it wasn't clear already, chan's broken sobs were echoing muffled under the fabric of his thin sweater.
