there used to be a trail near the edge of the forest where you and xingqiu always hung out at. the trail was always closed off, distanced - nobody was ever allowed to venture down that trail. xingqiu himself knew of this rule and never once dragged you near that dangerous place.
it looked like any other ordinary trail - but maybe because it just held more dangerous monsters, so the milileth just didn't allow anyone in our out. you however, always preferred sneaking down the trail, alone, so you knew what was beyond the line of no return. nothing too fancy, just a bunch of scary looking mechanisms, oh but you never engaged with them though, they looked far too powerful for your meek sword to handle.
"xingqiuuuuu! y/nnnnnn! come eat! ive prepared some tofu for everyone!"
xiangling was always the one who prepared dinner for you and him whenever the sun set beyond the mountains. routine was always the same; you would run up to the table, eat your tofu, drink your tea, and run straight back into the forest to hang out with xingqiu even if he wanst done eating.
today, was no different.
"so y/n, what did you and xingqiu get up to this time?" xiangling asked, leaning towards you curiously. she always had a keen eye for romance, and she believed with all her heart that you and xingqiu might just end up getting married one day. well, when the time and age of consent comes, that is.
as usual, xingqiu remained quiet and glued to his novels, so you gave the answer. "well we found a boar!"
