"... and thats why mikeila is a pick me." keqing announced to the class the next day. everyone in the classroom was absolutely blown away, but it wasnt like the most shocking thing ever. when itto, chongyun and childe heard it from you three during the walk back home, the three of them were shocked too. it was quite surprising.

according to mckenzie, their parents always doted on the youngest daughter which was mikeila. they doted on her so much that it slowly dawned on them that they seemed to spoil her somehow, and whenever she saw her brother liking girls and hanging with girls who wear no makeup and play sports and games, she somehow got it into her head that boys are only interested girls with no makeup and do sports. her sister influenced her to be pretty and to speak in a certain way because mckenzie adapted to a rather pretty accent which she had long since given up on.

all this because she saw how her sister and brother behaved, and with the added love and doting of her parents, she became this way. though, when her parents realised that mikeila was too far gone with her obsession to be different, they tried their best to change her ways, but that didnt help.

in fact, mckenzie said that it made her worse. she started doubting that she was actually a girl, and started writing letters to herself pretending that there were a lot of people who loved her and wanted to be her friend.

mckenzie said she felt bad for for sister, but she, her brother nor their parents care about mikeila anymore, since no matter how much they've tried to change her for the better, she kept thinking she was right. in the end, mckenzir said that it was best to ignore her and not care about what she says. the more anyone acknowledged her, she would just get more and more annoying.

"but since she's with you guys now, please take care of her for us even though she's super fucking annoying. shes still my sister and i know nobody else but you guys would be able to handle her. i know shes annoying, but just make sure she at least has a few friends who can take her annoying ass. try to let her find her OWN clique with similar people and throw her there. as long as she doesnt graduate without friends, im fine with that."
