Chapter 18>> Anthony's Wings

"Hey, Anthony." said Pinkie Pie. "Speaking about knowledge. Do our fans have names?"

"Yes. They do." said Anthony Padilla. "The male fans are called bronies. The female ones are known as pegasisters. But everyone just goes with bronies, even the girls. It doesn't really matter."

"Brony?" said Pinkie. "Never heard of that before."

"It sounds like combining the word bro, with pony." said Spike, putting his hands together. "It sure has a nice ring to it. And sounds super cool."

"I do like the sound of pegasisters. It's like the female pegasi were natural-born sisters that were all raised together." said Fluttershy. "Like a sisterhood, whether they are real sisters or not. They are still like sisters too, either way. By being there for each other. Don't you think, Rainbow?" she gazed back at Rainbow Dash.

"Yeah. Sure, Fluttershy." said Rainbow in agreement. "Just like me and you are both like sisters. Since we both practically grew up together, since we were little fillies."

"Why do I get to be a normal Earth pony, when we got here to Equestria? I don't understand. This sounds boring. It's not fair that I don't have wings or any magic." said Ian. "I am still the same as ever. Just an average Joe." 

"Hmm, like simple Donut Joe." said Spike. "From Canterlot, where he is just a pony who sells donuts. He's also pretty nice too. And can be quite the talker, once he opens you up in a conversation with him."

"Huh? What? Donut Joe? Who in the heck is that?" Ian then stomped his hoof down on the floor in annoyance. "I don't get why Anthony gets to be the cool one with his wings!? And a pegasi? I want wings, too. Why does he have wings!? It's so... not fair! He always gets all the cool stuff, before I do."

"I don't know, Ian." Anthony was flying up above the floor. His eyes looked down at his own feathery-pegasus wings. "I didn't know that I was going to be a pegasus when we first got here. I have no idea why I have wings either?"

"I used to be a normal unicorn, until I earned my wings and became a princess from solving a magical spell." said Twilight. "I know that you aren't an alicorn like me, Anthony. But in this case, maybe you somehow earned them? I don't know? It's just a random thought that I had."

"I think I know why Anthony may have wings." said Spike, looking down at his purple-dragon wings. "I got my wings by going through my dragon developmental stage called, 'the molt'. This is me, just guessing here. But..what if he got his wings by simply having a pure love for Equestria, for Ponyville, for us, and for our show? For being a genuine loyal fan to our fandom of friendship? For, just being a brony? I know that sounds pretty cheesy, but that's what I think."

"You are telling me that Anthony has wings, because he is a fan of all of us?" asked Rainbow Dash. "Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, I am. Why would I lie, Rainbow?" said Spike.

"I mean, the kid's got a point here." said Discord. "Think about it. Rainbow Dash is a pegasi. She represents the element of loyalty, from the elements of harmony. Even though, Anthony already knew about the elements before, when none of us mentioned it to him. He is connected to Rainbow, because he loves her. She is his favorite character. And is his comfort character, too. He said that he always wanted to meet her and all of us."

"Hmm, you do strike a point there?" Applejack said. "Was that all, Discord?"

"Yeah." said Rainbow, blushing. "Are you done with embarrassing me now?"

"Wait. That actually makes sense." said Twilight, with a surprised look that lit up in her purple eyes. "Think about it! Pegasi represent loyalty. Their wings are symbols of it. Like how, the pegasi-royal guards in Canterlot are loyal to protecting Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. It is a code of their chivalry. And being connected to Rainbow's loyalty. So, I do declare as Princess of Friendship, that Anthony Padilla has rightfully earned those wings of his, as a symbol for his loyalty to each of us. Which, also includes our friendship as well."

"Woah there, Twilight. You sure made quite the statement on that." Starlight pointed her hoof up to herself. "I am your pupil. And even, I couldn't think of that one. You are so smart! I really applaud you for giving out that explanation for Anthony's wings."

Twilight blushed happily from being complimented on her intellectual mind. "Oh stop it, Starlight. It was nothing, but my observations on pony culture that answered that one pretty quickly. Since it was something that I happened to be currently studying in the meantime."

"That's cool and does explain the reason behind my wings." said Anthony, flying down. "It does make sense with me being connected to loyalty, like pegasi are with their wings as symbols of it. Plus, Rainbow. Since she is the bearer of the element of loyalty as well. Thanks for that explanation, Twilight." he landed down on the floor.

"It sure does sound sick, when you interpret it that way." said Ian, who had stopped complaining about him not having pegasi wings. 

"Hey, Anthony." said Pinkie Pie. "I have been meaning to ask you and Ian." she pointed to Ian and Anthony's cutie marks. "I know that both of you aren't from our world. But..I was wondering. How did you two, get your cutie marks? And why are they both different colored arrows? Doesn't that mean that the both of you shared the same destiny in one?"

"Oh, that," said Anthony, looking down at his cutie mark. "Yeah, we both did. You can say that we both shared the same destiny together." as he said that, Spike, and everypony else looked shocked.

"Really? That's amazing." said Fluttershy. "You will have to excuse all of us for looking very surprised about this. It's just that it's quite rare for anypony to have very similar cutie marks. And to have earned them together, all in one day. It's something we don't get to see that often. More of a rare sighting. It really depends, because some ponies have different destinies that they have individually. And some don't, because they happen to share the same motive. The same passion. The same spark that sets them to share their same destiny with each other."

"Wow. That sure sounds amazing, Fluttershy." said Ian, to Fluttershy.
