Chapter 1

Ara's POV

Im Ara Trinidad. I came from a rich family. My father happens to be Mr. Bob Trinidad, a well-known lawyer because of his ability in winning some serious cases in court. My mother, an angel named Charlott Molivar a simple angelic stewardess of a famous airline.

Simply din ako katulad ng mommy ko. They taught me how to live our life simple and they raise me up with a proper discipline.

I am a girl who has everything but definitely searching for something. Maybe an attention and a love that my parents couldn't give. Not even my best friend Rowella.

My teenage life became meaningful because I started to notice and admire Lemuel. Aaminin ko naging crush ko siya ever since I step up in SFACC. We came from the same department since architecture ang course ko and engineering naman ang sa kanya.

Fourth year college na ako and I didn't bother to show my feelings to him. I admire him silently. Until there is a time, an opportunity for us to meet formally and my only chance to know him more.

Im in fourth year college architecture student here in St.Francis of Assisi Catholic College. I always dream of being an architect because I love to draw and design some amazing staff I am creating in my mind.

I was in the middle of sketching when I heard my name. My sumisigaw ng pangalan ko, at alam na alam ko kung sino yun.

"Ara!"

Napataas ang kilay ko ng makita ko si Rowella, ang maarti kong best friend. She was running like someone is chasing her. She held my shoulder when she finally stop in front of me and still gasping for air. Anung problema nito?

"Sobrang ganda mo teh!"

Sabi niya na nagpasalubong sa mga kilay ko. She smiled at me and wink. What?

"Kakainggit ka! Bruha!"

I remained silent and waited for the continuation.

"Ok, Mr. Daniel ask me to tell you if you're willing to be our department's muse for the volleyball team.."

Namilog ang mata ko. Is this for real? Really?
OMG! Seriously? Tinatanong nga ba ako ni Rowella kung willing akong maging muse ng volleyball team which is the team of Lemuel Velanueva?

"Ha? Seryoso ka Wel? Baka nagkakamali ka lang.." Nagtataka man pero hindi ko muna paniniwalaan si Rowella, at baka niloloko niya lang ako, alam kasi niyang super crush ko si Lemuel. We're classmates since first year college and became best of friends.

"Eh di sige, babawiin ko na lang, I'll tell Sir Daniel that you don't like the idea.." sabi nito at tiningnan ang mga kuko niya sa kamay at tumingin sa akin.

Tinaasan ko naman ito ng kilay at tiningnan ng masama.

"What? I'm serious. He really said that, actually pinapatawag ka nga niya.." sabi nito at ngumiti sa akin. "This is your chance baby girl! Omigod! Makakalapit ka na kay dream dad mo!" Sabi pa nito at humagikgik.

I rolled my eyes and release a deep sigh. Yes, super crush ko ang team captain ng volleyball team of our department. It's been 3 years and I became his secret admirer until now.

"Ok, sama ka? Puntahan natin si Sir.." tukoy ko sa dean ng department namin who happens to be my cousin. Uncle Dan, my mother's older brother owns this school and his son Kuya Daniel became the Dean of our department because instead of having his own work as an architect, he chose to teach his ability to those people who love to study architecture.

"Ok, tara!" Sabi naman ni Rowella and we went immediately to the dean's office.

I saw Kuya Daniel doing his paper works and look at us when he feel our presence in his office.
He smiled and tell us to come nearly at him.

"So, dear cousin, do you accept my offer?" Nakasmile pa ring tanong niya sa akin.

"Diba po parang unfair?" Sabi ko at nakatingin sa kanya.

Kumunot naman ang noo nito, "bakit naman unfair Ara?"

"Everybody knows you're my cousin and baka awayin ako ng ibang nagkakagustong maging muse.." sabi ko na nagpangiti dito.

"Still worrying about that? Wala silang magagawa since ikaw ang napili ko and there is no big deal about that, you're beautiful and since first year college ka, gusto na kitang kuning muse, hinaharangan lang ako ng nanay mo.."

Ngumiti ako ng maalala si mommy, over protective kasi ito sa akin. Nag-iisa lang kasi akong anak.

"Yun naman po pala eh, hindi payag si mommy Cha. Baka pagalitan-"

"Si tito Bob ang tinanong ko and wala siyang magagawa dun. Tito agreed and ako ang bahala sa nanay mong wala ng ginawa kundi itago ka.." he cut me out and I laugh softly. Natatawa kasi ako sa ginagamit niyang pantawag kay mommy Cha. Siguradong magagalit ito kapag nalaman niyang kinuha akong muse ng volleyball team."So Ara? It is ok with you?" tanong ulit ni kuya Daniel.

"May magagawa pa po ba ako?" Nakangiti kong tanong dito.

"Say no and I'll suspend you. One month, bahala na kung papakulong ako ng tatay mo.." he smiled and I laughed. I nodded sign of I am accepting his offer.

"Ok, it settled then, I'll talk to the coach. Maybe tommorow, they will start their paractice. Ill inform you what is his possible decision about you,ok?" Nakangiti nitong sabi at tumango lang ako.

After that, nagpaalam na kami at hinila ko si Rowella na ang lapad ng pagkangiti.

"Is this for real? Ohmigosh! Magsisimula na ang love story mo baby girl!" Maarti nitong sabi na nagpangiti lang sa akin.

Yes, this is it! Goodluck to me. I have a chance to see Lemuel not in a distance anymore.
