Before I start the chapter, I have some sad news. I lost the election...but no worries. It's not a big deal, in the grand scheme of things. Thanks to those who crossed their fingers for me!
Onto the story...
The next morning, Nova was woken up by her mother, who gently whispered, "Nova, time to wake up. We need to go." Nova blinked her eyes open, and remembered. I'm going to school! She shot up, and grinned. "Let's go," her mother said. The two flew to the heart of the rainforest, where tall trees reaped sweet fruit. She picked a couple, and caught up with her mother. Then they set out on their flight. Nova and Daybreak flew to the edges of the rainforest and decided to take a small break. They wandered around a little bit and found a small scavenger den. Nova was amazed. How could such tiny creatures build amazing things like this? She watched them from a distance...until they started throwing things at her. "Ow!" She growled at them, but stepped back, and heard Daybreak call her. After a little while, they finally made it to Jade Mountain Academy.
I know, I know...this one was short. The next few will be longer, I promise.
