Chapter 17

I got over my writer's block, and cranked out like 8 chapters in one day >:)

It was like usual when they walked in. Everyone was laughing and talking with their friends. Nova saw her winglet, minus Serval, not too far off from where she was standing. She nudged Serval and pointed to them. "Let's surprise them, shall we?" he said with a sly smile. The two snuck up behind Hurricane, Amber, Angel, Leopard, and Everest. "I woke up, and Nova still wasn't in our cave. I was hoping she would be back by now." Angel was saying sadly. "Serval wasn't in ours either...I hope they're both ok." Hurricane added. Nova jumped in by saying, "I hope they come back soon." The others turned around at the sound of her voice. Angel's eyes widened. "Nova!" she yelled. She, Amber, and Everest ran and hugged Nova. Nova stumbled, "Guys! I need air! To breathe!" Hurricane clapped Serval on the shoulder. "We were worried about you. Right, Leopard?" He said, glaring a little at Leopard. Leopard smiled and said, "Yeah, we were. I'm sorry for saying that about you yesterday." Serval smiled back, "It's ok." The girls finally let go of Nova, and then she walked over to Leopard. He beamed, "I'm glad you're back." Everest cleared her throat. Leopard looked down. "Nova, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for yelling at you, and I'm sorry for saying those things to you. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, and I should've made sure you were okay. I hope you can forgive me, but I understand if you can't." Nova looked at him for a second before going up to him and hugging him. She heard Serval make a quiet strangled noise, but she ignored it. "It's ok," she whispered. "I forgive you." She released him, and smiled, "We're still friends, right?" Leopard grinned back, "Of course."
