(Hunter's POV)

I was walking towards Uncle's throne room a little annoyed. "Why do I need a stupid bodyguard?"

"I can protect myself perfectly fine, thank you very much!" I said aloud as I balled up my fist and hit the wall next to me.

I stopped outside the doors of the throne room, looking up at the door confused. "I've been doing missions alone for a while now. Why do I need someone to stay with me all of a sudden?"

I open the doors, walk in, and kneel. Bowing my head in front of Emperor Belos.

"Hello, Emperor. You requested my presence?" I stayed kneeling and looking at the floor. One hand Inna's fist outstretched to touch the floor and the other laying on my knee.

"You are correct. I did call for you, and I believe you already know why." Uncle Belos said in a cold tone, sitting on his throne looking at me.

"Come to forwards Huntress," Emperor Belos waved his hand, signaling for the person to come out of the darkness behind the throne.

"Huntress? Does that mean-" I thought to myself as I slowly looked up from the ground to see someone stepping out from the darkness.

"Sir Golden Guard, I am Huntress. I have been assigned to be by your side to ensure your safety." The person spoke through the mask.

"You two may go," Uncle Belos said dismissing Huntress and me. "Yes Emperor, I'll be taking my leave" The two of us walk out of the throne room, the doors closing behind us.

Huntress and I walk in silence. Huntress followed right behind me without saying anything.

We walk into the room; I noticed a bed that was in the corner of my room. That wasn't there before.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I rolled my eyes and put my hand on my mask. "I wasn't informed the two of us would have to share a room also" Huntress spoke in monotoned voice.

"You weren't informed either?" I sat at my desk starting to work on some of the papers that were piled on it.

"I was not," Huntress spoke in the same monotoned voice. "I will step out if you wish to change, Gold-" I cut Huntress off in the middle of them talking.

"My name is Hunter," I told her, "You do not need to call me Golden Guard if we are not in front of people." Huntress simply nodded without a word.

Huntress stepped out of the room for me to change, as I did for them. When I walked back into the room I was caught off guard to find a woman standing there.

"I guess that would explain why her name is Huntress." I thought to myself, shortly realizing that I had been staring at her.

(A/n) - I used this picture as a reference for the stance of Y/n and the outfit she had changed into.

I stared at her h/l (hair length), h/c (hair color) hair "We should head to sleep soon. . ." I switched my gaze to look Huntress in the eyes, waiting to see if I'd get a name from her.

"Y/n," She stayed in her monotoned voice, looking through her bag. "Alright Y/n, like I said. We should head to sleep soon since we will be training starting first thing in the morning and sleep is important," I sat back down at my desk and looked through the papers once again as I spoke, not looking at Y/n.

"Alright," Y/n said blankly, with no emotion or anything else, I smirked.

I continued reading through the papers when I noticed someone walk up to the edge of my desk, Y/n.

I glanced up at her "Can I help you?" She just looked at me without saying a word. Then switched her gaze to the stack of papers.

"Did you wish to help or something?" I questioned, she nodded her head and pulled over a seat to where she was standing at the edge of the desk.

"Feel free to then," I held my hand out to the papers, signaling that it was okay for her to take a pile.

She carefully moved the stack in front of her and we worked on the papers together.

We finished the papers around 1:45 a.m. I looked over and found Y/n asleep. Using her arms as a pillow as she leaned against the desk.

(I changed the time to tell the exact time I finished rewriting the chapter)

I stared at her for a few moments, a smile forming across my mouth. My eyes softened as I looked at her, she looked so peaceful.

I picked her up bridal style and set her down on her bed. I turned to leave so I could turn off the light. I felt a hand wrap around my forearm weakly.

I turned and saw her weakly holding onto my arm, her eyes squinted as she looked at me and mumbled: "Don't go. . .."

I felt heat rise to my cheeks, my smile, and my voice were soft. "I will be right back; I'm just turning off the light."

She hesitated before letting go of my arm, and watching closely as I walked over to the light switch. Turning the light off then carefully made my way back to her.

I looked down at her soft expression, her eyes were closed, and a slight smile was on her lips. I figured she was asleep, so I walk over to my bed and laid down to sleep for myself.

I lay there for a few minutes before the sound of shuffling grew closer to me. Then the weight on the bed shifted and someone wrapped their arms around my torso from behind me.

I glanced over my shoulder to find Y/n tiredly cuddled up to me. Wasn't she just in her bed?

I changed my gaze to her bed; she was laying there too. I glanced between the one behind me and the one on the bed.

The version on the bed disappeared and I chuckled. "An illusion spell huh." I thought to myself.

I looked back at Y/n who was fast asleep cuddled up to me. I smiled and carefully turned over to face her. "Goodnight, Y/n"

I spoke before falling asleep with a smile, for the first time in a while. This might not be that bad after all.

A/n - I started writing this story as a joke between and friend and me, but slowly over time as I posted for joke chapters. People started to enjoy my story. If I'm being honest, I'm glad you guys like this story besides how basic the writing was. I haven't been able to post a new chapter due to writer's block, so I thought "Why not rewrite the old chapters? Maybe they will give me some ideas, and the bonus of the first few chapters being a different writing style compared to my new one. So, I have you old readers enjoy this new and imported chapter, and it any new readers. . .. I'm honestly glad you didn't see the last chapter; the writing was pretty bad since I was only writing it as a joke.
