|Chapter 21|

"A cabin? But where we've explored these woods loads of times and have yet to see any cabins!" Luz said sounding really confused

"It's above my cave, on top of the mountain, I can fly you up there if you'd like," said the bat queen while smiling

"I don't know if we should trust this... How do we know that you're not setting us up?" asked Hunter while slightly backing away

"I think we should trust her, after all," I take the necklace with the bat queen whistle on it out of my shirt "She still owes me a favor, and I'd like to use that favor now" I smiled while handing her back the whistle

"No need, This ones on me" The bat queen put the whistle back into my hand

I smiled and put the whistle back around my neck and into my shirt "Thank you so much for this Bat Queen"

The bat queen nods ad lets us climb onto her back to take us up the mountain

(At the cabin | Hunter's P.O.V)

"Thank you again Bat queen! It's beautiful!" [F/n] said with a warm smile

"It's no problem [F/n] u, Luz, and Eda have done so much for me in the past, and it is now my turn to repay you for those favors," The Bat queen said as she flew back down the mountain

[F/n] turned around with a smile and looked at us "Well, what are you guys waiting for? Let's go in!" [F/n] ran into the cabin not looking to see if any of us were following behind her or not

"We don't have a choice do me?" I asked Luz as I looked at her and sighed

"Nope" Luz rolled her eyes and sighed as she started walking into the cabin

I hesitated to walk into the cabin but I soon followed behind them

We were all standing in the main room looking around "It's beautiful!" [Y/n] said with amazement in her eyes

"It really is," I said while staring at [Y/n] with a smile on my face

"I don't think Hunter's talking about the cabin" Luz mumbled then cleared her throat

[y/n] looked back confused "What was that Luz?"

I looked back at Luz slightly red and shook my head "Oh nothing~"

[Y/n] laughed and looked at the stairs, "Let's go see the rooms!"

[Y/n] grabbed my arm and ran upstairs dragging me along with her

She dragged me into one of the rooms while luz quickly ran into another room and locked the door

We both looked around and saw a big bed in the middle of the room

"How many rooms are there?" I asked while looking back at the locked door to the room that Luz had locked herself in

"Uhh, I don't know. Let's go look!" [Y/n] said while letting go of my hand and walking into the hallway

I followed closely behind her, seeing the slight look of panic come onto her face as she looked down the hallway

"I think there are only 2 rooms..... and Luz has already barricaded herself in the other room, and I honestly don't wanna share a room with her after doing it all the time at the owl house..." [Y/n] said with an oops look on her face

"Which means we're gonna have to sleep in the same room as we did at the castle?" I asked not really seeing anything wrong with the situation

"Yeah but the only thing that's different is that at the castle we had two beds in one room... as for here, we only have one bed" [Y/n] looked down at the floor slightly red

my face slowly started to heat up as I realized what this meant "So we're gonna have to share a bed too"

we both looked away from each other for a little while before I cleared my throat and said "I can just sleep on the couch downstairs it's fine!"

"N-No! It's fine I don't mind, besides it's just for one night right?" [Y/n] said while trying to avoid eye contact with me

"Are you sure? Cause I don't mind sleeping on the couch! I don't want you to feel uncomfortable in any way!" I said while fidgeting with my fingers

She shook her head and smiled slightly while walking back into the room and sitting on the bed

I follow in behind her and sit down next to her "Hey, Hunter?" I heard [Y/n] say after a few minutes of silence

"Hm?" I looked at her and say that she looked confused about something

"Have you noticed soemthing.... different lately?" She asked while looking into my eyes

"What kind of difference? Cause recently I've noticed that I've been disobeying Uncle's rules by running off with you, I lied to him about you being kidnapped so I could help you get your freedom from the emperor's coven. And then there's-" I cut myself off while feeling my face getting warm

"There's?" [Y/n} leaned forwards slightly so she could see my face better

"There's what's been... different between..... my old and new feelings for...." I cut myself off again while getting warmer in the face

[Y/n]'s face looked even more confused now than it was before as she just stayed silent like there was a specific answer she was waiting for me to say 'Does she already know about my feelings for her? Is that why she seems more awkward around me lately? Have I been that obvious?'

I started getting lost in thought as my grip on the edge of the bed got so tight that my knuckles were turning white "Hunter are you okay?" [Y/n} said causing me to snap out of my thoughts

"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine" I said while trying to avoid answering the question

"You never finished telling what you were talking about earlier with the change of feelings for something? Is it something serious?" She said while starting to look and sound worried

I stayed quiet for a few minutes before saying "My feelings for... You have changed"

A/n- Omg guys guess what! I finally got chapter 21 finished!!! But you already know that since you did just read it, I mean hopefully you did read it and didn't just skip over it. But on a real note, I would have had the chapter posted much sooner if I was so distracted with school, marching band, and JROTC. A little bit into my personal life but I was going to have a competition for marching band this Saturday but we got rained out. So I was finally able to have some free time to finish this chapter!! And I have a game tomorrow where I am performing with JROTC and the marching band in the same game!! SO wish me luck! But back to the story, I hope you guys have been enjoying the story so far, I plan to have the next chapter done by either tomorrow or at least the day after. And hopefully, I'll be able to get back on a good writing schedule soon! So thank you guys for being so patient with me through out the publishing of this story!
