|Chapter 27|

([Y/n's] P.O.V)

The scene finally changed and I was at the emperor's place. "This was the first time I ever went inside the palace..." I said as I walked alongside my past self. I was looking around just like I did back then when I noticed something that I didn't realize back then.

A blonde boy was standing in the corner looking at me.

I stopped as my past self continued to walk. "There's no way, The reason he looked so familiar when I was called upon by the emperor to meet him... I HAD seen him before!" I said to myself as I started at the boy who watched my past self walk down the hallway.

Right before my past self had turned the corner, the blonde boy walked after me as I followed behind me. Seeing this scene as if it was an out-of-body scenario was rather creepy, But I'm noticing things I don't think I ever noticed before...

All of a sudden everything went black again, and a few minutes later my head was in Hunter's lap and Luz was leaning over me with an empty elixir bottle in her hand. "It happened again didn't it..." I said as I slowly stood up Luz shrugged and looked at me concerned.

"We're not exactly sure... You went to the kitchen perfectly fine then you just collapsed but you didn't show any signs of the curse affecting you." Hunter said with a slight bit of worry in his voice.

"wait then why did you give me an elixir?" I asked as I sat up feeling a little lightheaded "Don't sit up to fast you hit your head pretty hard on the ground when you fell. We aren't sure if you're hurt or have a concussion, so PLEASE be careful" Hunter said as he put one of his hands on my back just to make sure that if I fell back again I wouldn't get hurt.

"Wait... I thought we didn't have any elixirs." I looked at Luz confused, she looked at the ground before glancing over at the door. "There wasn't any here, I brought part of the stash that's around the Owl House," Eda said catching my attention.

I looked at the doorway that connected the kitchen and the hallways right before the stairs. There she was, Eda was leaning against the door frame to the hallway. "What are you doing here!" I looked at her just as worried as the others. 

"To bring some elixirs' because I KNOW you don't have any with you," Eda said as she pointed to my once empty vial around my neck.

"you refilled it..." I said while looking down and grabbing the vial. They said they didn't know if it really was the curse or not... Does that mean something else could have happened?

"We really aren't sure if it was the curse or not..." I asked without looking at any of them. No one said anything, all that happened was a slight turn of Hunter's head to look at Eda and Luz.

I glanced up to look at the others, but no one was looking at me, not even a side glance. 'They really aren't sure.. are they'  I thought to myself while still not getting a response from anyone.

"I really don't know what it was, Lu and Hunter told me that you collapsed while taking the dishes to the kitchen like you would if the curse was acting up but... there wasn't any sign of you changing..."

Eda walked over to the counter beside Hunter and me, when she leaned up against it she looked out the window.

When I attempted to stand up, before having to grab the counter that was behind me for support. "[y/n] are you okay" Hunter stood up quickly to make sure I was okay.

I nodded and brought my hand up to my head. I tried to open my eyes, but due to the bright light, I had to keep them closed. 

"Are you sure you're okay?" Eda asked as she grabbed my arm. I slightly opened my eyes to look at Eda, I think she could tell by the look in my eyes that I wasn't really okay.

"I'm gonna take [y/n] into a darker room, it's probably just a migraine from the curse," Eda said with a comforting smile as the other two nodded.

Eda and I walked up the stairs and into the room that Hunter and I were sharing. "I need you to be completely honest with me, Did something happen while you were passed out?" 

Eda shut the door behind her and walked over to the window to close the curtains, making the room darker. 

I looked up at Eda thinking back to what happened during the moments of my fainting spell. "I was in the middle of talking to Luz and hunter when everything went black.  I was trying to figure out what was happening before the scene changed and I was back in your old room. Staring at myself, laying in the bed." 

Eda sat down next to me on the bed and whispered "The night that you got cursed by Lillith..." I nodded my head and continued trying to remember what had happened.

"I saw the figure in the door like normal, and when I got close the scene changed, I was in the living room getting the lecture from Lillith. When she was trying to talk me into joining the emperor's coven, but I was telling her that I didn't want to join a coven."

Eda nodded, not wanting to interrupt. As if she was in the middle of processing what causes this to happen. I continued talking as I looked at the ground as started fidgeting with my fingers.

"I mentioned something about....." I thought back to my slight breakdown about if I had joined my walls would crumble because of Him.

I stayed silent getting lost in my own thoughts, "Was it about Lillith?" Eda asked. I felt my face heat up, thankfully since it was decently dark in the room she couldn't see how red my face probably was.

"Yeah..." I lied as my eyes started to tear up, "I partly understand why she cursed me... she was jealous and wanted to be in the coven so badly, but what I don't understand is why she did the same thing to you..."

A/n - guess what, after a while of not posting you finally have a new chapter to read! I hope you guess enjoy it and continue to enjoy the story. It shows me that I can still continue this story and that people continue looking forward to the next chapter no matter how long it takes.
