Clara's POV
I look at the piece of paper. It's a picture of Danny and I on one of our dates- a tiny but happy moment in time.
And in the corner are a few words written in pen by Danny:
"The one girl I ever loved or will love."
And below that is the date, a heart, and five letters that spell a word- more exactly, a name.
"Clara."
The Doctor's POV
A tear slides down Clara's cheek, and after a few moments, a thick waterfall pours from her eyes, smudging the little eye makeup she's wearing.
"Oh God, no, Danny, no no no Danny... Please!" she whispers disbelievingly. She bursts into tears, but bows her head, the paper pressed against her heart, trying not to show us she's crying.
Lily hugs Clara kindly. "I'm sorry, Clara, I really am. But he went down purposefully. He wanted that."
Clara nods silently.
Lily continues to comfort Clara. I know I should too, but Lily's golden hair is mesmerizing- the way it catches the light and reflects it with streaks of red, copper, and brown. It's really pretty, and I can't take my eyes off of it.
And I swear, those beautiful eyes of hers literally take my breath away.
But then I realize what these are-- symptoms.
Of complete and obsessive love.
Oh no...
