Danny's POV
Clara walks over to me as Lily is offered fish fingers and custard by the Doctor.
She wraps both arms around my neck, her face inches from my own. "Hi," she whispers softly.
My hands go to her waist, pulling her closer. "Hey." I move one of my hands to her hair that has streaks of red and brown. Perfect. All of her.
Her eyes look up at me happily, and I kiss the top of her head. "Don't go anywhere."
"I won't." She gets up on tiptoe and kisses me.
After a minute or so, we come up for air, and as Clara lowers herself from her elevated height, I start laughing really hard.
"What?"
"Tiptoe, for God's sake Clara!" I nearly double over laughing as I notice.
"Oi!" She hits me playfully. "And how come you notice this now?" she asks in her sassiest voice.
"I dunno! It's just... Oh Clara..." I can't breathe for laughing.
"Shut up or I'll slap you so hard you'll be eating fish fingers and custard out of the Doctor's bowl over there by the time I'm through with you."
I try to stop. I swear that I'm trying. But the sass in her voice... I just kiss her instead.
Because the is so freaking perfect.
So.
Damn.
Amazing.
Lily's POV *a few weeks later*
I've been staying with the Doctor in the Tardis, and he's taken me to incredible places in this universe. I'm lovig every second of it.
Clara said its dangerous to travel with the Doctor, but of all the things the Doctor is, dangerous isn't one I associate him with. Instead, I associate him with the giving-back-the-thrill-of-life quality. Before him, the only thrills I got were when I looked at Clara. Now it's when I hear the Tardis brakes, the Doctor's voice, when we go to those gorgeous places and he explains then to me excitedly.
Or if I see that chin.
