I love rain. Especially when there is still daylight out, it makes everything look more beautiful. We are near the equator, so there's more rain and storms because of the ocean currents and winds.
Anytime I am in a storm, I am reminded of my friend from Texas. I should stop calling him "friend from Texas" by now, so I'll call him by his nickname.
"Seek" has been my friend since 1st grade, he's the complete opposite of me in terms of personality. He was the outgoing one and I was the quiet awkward one, but since we met, we've become the greatest team anyone could have. He's got my back and I got his.
He must be worried right now, I would've answered his calls or messages by now. I hope he is doing alright, as big of a idiot as he is...he can be the greatest friend in the world.
I got lost in my thoughts that I've forgotten to finish my wood carving. I've been making spears and have started a quest to find a decent enough piece of wood to use as a bow. So far, not much progress has been made on finding a bow.
My hand has been feeling better, I can at least hold onto objects without cursing myself. I finished making a small wooden spear, I'm gonna use it more for foot traps. That's only if I need to place some traps in the jungle, who knows what kind of idiots would sail to this island just to see or even poach these dinosaurs.
The rain had gotten worse, maybe we're in a El Niño right now. We had taken refuge in the small tent we had made, it was actually working quite well. Probably because of the tarp was made for water protection, it was Isla Nublar after all.
There wasn't enough chairs for everyone, so Darius and I had taken the liberty of sitting on the rock scattered floor. We were too nice to people, well...I wasn't nice to everyone.
Crack
I looked up and noticed Sammy had a concerned expression on her face. I then realized that everyone had a concerned look on their face.
"What?," I asked confused.
I looked down at my right hand, noticing I had the piece of wood in my into two. My hand was still healing, and yet I felt no pain when I crushed the thick piece of wood.
It felt like one of those moments. It feels as though I my father takes over my mind and causes me to inflict brutal and violent pain on...people. The first time it had happened was in Florida, I had news of a very influential person to my father was stationed there.
He was bitten by an Alligator and I had slashed his eye twice. I never knew his name, but I can clearly remember his face. He didn't want to fight two kids, but I was the only one there that had the tenacity to fight. Or it was something else in me that had such strength and will to fight.
I remember I had overpowered him for a brief moment, but one moment is all it takes for me to win. I had pinned him to the sticky wet floor of the swamp and had pulled his arm that got bitten behind him.
I had him in a very dangerous armlock.
I had no control of myself in that moment, I slowly bent his arm the other way, as if warning him. I barely remember hearing myself laugh with such a sadistic grin. My Cheshire Cat smile was identical to my fathers.
If my friend wasn't there to snap me back to reality, that man would've been left there with a broken arm. When I think more about it, he had never wanted to fight me...maybe he was trying to tell me something, I'll never know.
"S-sorry, I need-," I audibly gulped, "-I need to take a walk," I had gotten up and was just about to leave the tent until I felt a hand on my shoulder.
