"Couldn't we have just used the hotels as our base?," Kenji asked from beside me.
We had been discussing some new routes to take and where we could find some supplies. I suggested the hotels, they probably don't have power, but they have furniture and plenty of supplies. Cleaning supplies, food, water, etc.
"The hotels would not be safe for us to stay in," I stated, my arms were crossed and I hadn't changed my blank expression yet.
"And why is that, Nature Boy?," Kenji asked, it seemed he still felt a little intimidated by me, he's tried acting like an alpha the whole time. We all know that has not and will not work, especially with Darius and I as co-leaders.
"Main Street is close to the middle of the island, which means that has the most concentrated amount of dinosaurs," I pointed at Main Street on the small park map we have.
"Not only Rexy is there, but plenty of other carnivores are at Main Street, and the ones that are small enough to walk into the hotels have probably claimed them as their own territory by now," I stated while cocking an eyebrow.
"It's a huge risk just to go to Main Street, not to mention that we'll be completely open for ambush," I smirked at Kenjis deflating ego.
"Hunter is right, but if we want more supplies, Main Street is the best option for us right now," Darius added.
"So what do we do?," Brooklynn asked from the other side of me.
"Kenji, Hunter and I can scout the hotels out for danger, in the meantime, Brooklynn, Sammy, and Yaz can check the visitors center, maybe there'll be something in the labs to help us," Darius said.
"Or"
"Kenji can come with me alone, while you check out the dino labs, who knows...maybe there will be some Dino eggs still in there," I whispered the last part to Darius.
He knew I wanted to set Kenji straight, but he also wanted to see the labs. "Alright, sounds good," Darius smiled.
"Wait, hold on"
"You're leaving me with the dude who has a death wish every time we encounter a dinosaur?," Kenji asked.
"Yes, now let's get going before 'the dude with a death wish' slams you're face into a table," I smirked at him, he audibly gulped. The others were patting his back as they passed him.
"Oh I am so dead..."

As a group, we walked towards Main Street, the most annoying part is that a whole mountain separates Main Street from the north. No wonder there is monorail tracks everywhere, it's as if a giant snake had slithered across the island.
"Honestly Darius, why am I stuck with him," Kenji whispered to Darius ahead of me. I can clearly hear him, I didn't mind though. Kenji and I are not compatible with each other, so a rivalry or even resentment was inevitable.
"It's you're turn for one of Hunters bonding trips, don't worry, he won't let you get eaten," Darius reassured him, "How does that help with anything!?," Kenji whispered yelled.
"Don't torture Kenji too much, as much as he deserves it," Yaz said from behind me.
"No promises"
"How's you're foot doing?," I asked after I synced our walking pace together.
"Better, it still needs to heal," Yaz started, "What about you're hand?," she asked.
