Hunter had tracked them for a solid minute now, he hopes that Hap didn't catch them...or a dinosaur caught them. Hunter slid down to his knee and examined a footprint, well, bootprint.
Hunter gently placed two fingers on the print and looked ahead of him.
"I'm close, don't worry guys..."
Hunter drew his crossbow and followed the trail leading towards Hap, Brooklynn, Kenji, and unknowingly Ben.
...
"Okay, start talking. Why were you—" Brooklynn was cut off by Haps bewilderment.
"Are these...Windsor knots?" He asked confused.
Hap was tied up by Ben who informed Brooklynn and Kenji about what happened to him and what he heard Tiff and Mitch tell Hap earlier. Their conversation leading to Hunters capture and something about a 'Cassidy Ravens'.
"Where'd you learn how to tie people up?" Hap asked.
"Hey! We're asking the questions." Brooklynn snapped at Hap, she was quite angry to hear that Hunter was supposedly kidnapped by the three adults.
"Yeah! Dude here has a dinosaur and he's not afraid to use her." Kenji smugly smirked at Hap.
Hap turned his head to a adolescent Bumpy, who is casually chewing on some plants behind him. Which didn't help Kenji's threat, at all.
Hap turned back to them unfazed.
Brooklynn and Kenji groaned, they haven't been able to break Hap for a while now. "I got this." Ben stated as he walked over to Hap with the stun rod.
Suddenly intense music.
Hap blankly stared up at Ben, which turns into a 'are you serious?' face. "Think you're tough? You don't know the meaning of tough." Ben stated.
Ben pointed to his left shoulder with the stun rod, "See that?"
"Leech bite."
Gasp from Kenji.
Hap lifts his arms up, tilting them to the left to show his right forearm. The Alligator bite he was given when he first met Hunter and his friend.
"Gator Bite."
Another gasp from Kenji.
"Sunburned for three days straight."
"Buried for a week in an avalanche!"
"Chased off a pack of Compies!"
"WRESTLED A PACK OF—"
"Punched a hammerhead in Hawaii! We are all impressive!" Brooklynn exclaimed annoyed of the twos drive of 'out toughin' the other' conversation.
"I-I'm really wealthy." Kenji stuttered, at least he tried.
Brooklynn sighs, "Ok, how exactly is chasing us through the jungle saving our lives?" Brooklynn returned back to a glare, "Plus, we heard you tell Mitch and Tiff you were going to 'take care' of us."
"I'm trying to, by getting you home." Hap tried convincing them, but the out of context conversation he had on the walkie talkie didn't help.
