(This Chapter is my longest ever yet, being 16215 words long. Please read the authors note at the end, it is very important and contains vital information for the next chapter.)
They had all returned to the docks, which was the main base of operations for now. Hunter was unfortunately taken away by (luckily) Arthur for a decent amount of time. The Campers and Allie were ordered to rest up for the remainder of the night.
There is two separate sections of these large yurts, one for the boys and one for the girls, even Hap would be impressed with how luxurious and secure these yurts were.
Tiff & Mitch would have a stroke from just witnessing the inside of these yurts, Clint was not bluffing about how they'd be treated.
Even though the Campers and Allie were staying in what is basically a portable house, they did not express their amazement for long.
Hunters exclusion from the group has been subconsciously affecting them all.
The dirty blond haired teens meltdown earlier had also raised more questions about who Clint truly is as a person, and had revealed two sides of Hunter that they didn't know existed.
When Hunter was dragged away by Arthur, the Campers subtly tried reaching for him but it was too late. The look on Hunters face said it all anyways.
Don't bother me.
Before we dwell into the conversation between the Campers and Allie, we'll follow the Jaguar and the Ocelot for now.
Arthur, in his usual chaotic way, pulled Hunters seat out for him before taking his own seat. They were once again in this small, pitiful tent, that Clint callously gave to Arthur.
Hunter didn't say a word. Not a single sound escaped his lips. His silence was concerning Arthur, the crazy man knew something terrible happened, but he never thought Hunter would ever reveal this side of himself.
"What's wrong, Jaguar?" Arthur kindly asked, in a quiet tone as to not make Hunter shut him out.
Hunter slowly blinked before Arthur heard soft breathing come from him.
"What did the Tiger do?" Arthur softly asked, "I saw that all your friends had returned intact! So there must be another reason for this downpour of behavior," Arthur leaned forward and titled his head to match with Hunters.
Hunter was slumped back in his chair, staring at his limp hands. His entire body felt numb and dead to him, he speculated what caused Howard's death but he did not want to know if it was true.
Asking Howard was a big mistake.
"Did you ever have someone you knew that you didn't want them to ever die?" Hunter quietly asked the Ocelot.
Arthur uncharacteristically became silent.
He slowly leaned away from Hunter after realizing what he had meant. Arthur sighed before making an audible gulp, he then reached down beside him into a duffel bag. Arthur pulled out a phone, sadly it has no service, so Hunter wouldn't be able to do much with it.
"Yes...yes I did." Arthur sadly said.
"It was your Mother," Arthur looked at his hands on the table, "She was an amazing person, she treated everyone with kindness and had always let others feel like they were part of the family..." Arthur softly chuckled.
Hunter was now interested.
"You knew my mother?" Hunter questioned Arthur.
"Yes, she was a marvelous human being, I didn't know her like you or Clint did," Arthur softly smiled, "But you can tell the type of person she was by first glance; never once did she make others feel horrible."
