2 weeks later

"I'll miss you. Promise me you'll keep in contact?" I ask as Justin and I walked out of his room and headed downstairs. We had gotten a lot closer lately and I didn't want to ruin it. We've kinda kept to ourselves the last two weeks. We both decided it would be a perfect thing to keep our feeling for each other on the down low, meaning no one else would know, even though we weren't official. I finally felt what Justin felt for me, for him. Over the last two weeks, we kept physical contact to its all time minimum, we only kissed each other maybe two times in the two weeks time frame, and to be completely honest, I was perfectly fine with that.

"Why would I even think of losing contact with you? I know that me being gone may complicate things, but I'll be back soon. So promise me something. Promise you'll wait for me. You'll keep an empty spot for me in your heart when I get back." Justin spoke, adjusting his bag on his shoulder. He stood in front of the door with all his bags laying on the floor as he talked to me.

"I promise Justin." I replied simply, wrapping my arms around his body. He felt so protective. The way he hugged me, and the way his muscles wrapped around me sent a shiver down my spine. I took in a long breath, inhaling the strong smell of his cologne. I locked my eyes tightly, trying to prevent the tears that had been forming behind my eyes. Jumping, as I heard the loud sound of Justin's tour bus outside. I pulled myself back to be face to face with him.

"I guess this is where we say goodbye," I managed to get out, allowing the tears to fall as freely as they felt. Justin looked at me and closed his eyes intensely before reopening them and wiped the tears that were falling off my cheek.

"Come on, you know you can't do this to me Brooke. Stop crying please? This is not us saying goodbye, this is us simply saying farewell. So you don't have to cry sweetie," Justin reassured. I simply nodded my head and allowed Justin to clear my face from tears. "I gotta go now Brooke, but remember our promise, okay?"

Words wouldn't leave my mouth. I was so shocked. My best friend was leaving. I simply nodded my head and Justin pulled away from the hug.

"Did you hear me?" Justin asked.

"I-"

"Brooke?"

"I- I don't know what to say," I stutter.

"Brooke, Look, I know this is hard right now, but it will get better. Remember when we left the first time? It was hard at first, but then we got through it. I know we can get through it again, because I believe in us. Now put a smile on your face. I have to go, but I will make sure to call you every night. Okay?" Justin questioned. I nodded my head and genuinally looked at him. I was going to miss him rather I admitted it or not.

"Okay Justin. Okay," Was all I said. I watched as Justin bent down to pick up his bags. After he had all of them in his hands, he stood up straight and smiled at me. "I'll be back before you know."

"I miss you already," I responded, stepping back a little bit so he could have more room to walk.

"Don't worry. I'll be back. Soon. Okay?"

"Justin, Okay,"

With that, Justin bend down and placed a soft kiss on my cheek before walking out of the door with all of his belongings. I watched as a man stepped out of the tour bus to help him with his luggage. There were girls all around the bus. It's strange because I'd never really seen a lot of people hanging around his house. Maybe it was because his fans wanted him to have privacy. Snapping myself out of my thoughts, I looked up to see the tour bus nowhere in sight. I allowed my shoulder to slump over and I walked into the living room where Pattie was.
