44. Old Friends

Amrik's POV

After a week in Canada we start heading back to San Fransokyo. I let Sarina drive as I relax and enjoy the ride. As we continue driving I notice that the scenery starts getting familiar. That's when I realize we're in my home town. I look around happy to be back even though it's only briefly. Then the painful memories return filling my head with negativity. All the bullying and abuse from the other students.

"You're a nobody."

"You're worthless."

"You're such a loser. Just give up."

"Nobody cares about you."

"What didn't your parents love you enough to stay together."

I start breaking down not being able to hold my emotions in. I'm starting to feel like Jay. No wonder he snapped. The memories and pain is too much for me to handle. I'm brought out of those thoughts add feel two arms wrap around me in a tight hug. "Hey I'm here. Everything's okay." she says comforting me. "The memories they're too much for me to handle." I tell her. "What do you mean?" she asks me. "I grew up here. And I'm remembering all the pain I've been through. My parents getting divorced, all the bullying. The only person who was here for me was Jay." I say. She pulls me deeper into the hug and I start to feel safe in her arms. Protecting me from all the pain.

Sarina's POV

I comfort Amrik. I've never seen him like this. So broken and upset. I look at him and he still seems a bit upset. I try to think of something else I can do to cheer him up. Then I think something I've never done but always wanted to do. I grab him by the collar of his shirt and pull him into a kiss. At first he's shocked but then he kisses back. We stay like this for a while before I pull away. When I look at him he looks lovestruck. "Better now." I say teasing him. He playfully pushes me and I laugh at him. "Just drive." he says smiling, shaking his head. "That's better." I say to myself as we head towards San Fransokyo.

Amrik's POV

We're driving a few minutes away from San Fransokyo when I get a feeling we're being followed. I get a call from Jay "Dude you're being followed, Sams transmitters are picking up something. Defend yourself. I'm still out here paying back the time I messed up with Gogo." And hangs up. Then texts me. "Check your wallet for a card. Twist that card and something will happen you won't regret it ;)" I smile. This guy always has some back up plan. "So what was that about?" Sarina asks me. "Just Jay telling me that someone's following us." I say a bit too casually. "Wait someone's following us!" she yells. "Don't worry Jay-" is as far as I get, as the car behind us rams into the back of our car. Everything around us seems to go so slowly as our car flips out of control. When it stops I look over at Sarina who's unconscious. Then I look at the car behind and see two figures get out. "Well well well look who we have here." One figure says. "Awh he has a little girlfriend, how cute." another says. "He's awake" one says. And stabs me with a needle. Knocking me out.

A few hours later

I wake up not being wake to see anything in a dark empty room. I try to move but I'm tied to a chair with my arms being the chair. Then I remember what happened. Jay warning me that I was being followed. The car crash. Two people injecting me with something. Sarina. "Wait where's Sarina!" I think to myself. "Sarina!" I call out worried about her. "So that's her name." a figure says coming out of the dark. "Where is she?" I say to him. "Nice to see you too." he says ignoring me. "I said. WHERE IS SHE!?!" I yell at the mask covered person. "Welcome back Amrik" the masked person says. They pull the masks off and led to two familiar faces. Sophia and Austin. "What the hell do you want and what did you do to Sarina?" I yell. They laugh at me. "Always with that temper." Austin says. "I'd calm down if I was you. Otherwise you may never see her again." Sophia tells me. My mind starts racing. "WAIT WHERES THE OTHER 3?! Oh no this can't be good." "There now you get it." Sophia says taunting me. "What do you want from me?" I ask. "Aw come on. Let's have a little fun first, like the good old days." Sophia says. "Yeah the only thing we're missing is Jay." Austin adds. I starting to fear where this is going as they leave laughing.
