48. New Acquaintances

3rd person pov

In the black abyss of the unknown, a familiar face is constantly falling while asleep. He's been there since his apparent death. But in reality, he never died. It was jay. Sam located him and reformed over his body. Jay woke. "What is going on. Where am I? And what is this suit?" Seems jay has lost his memory in the process. As jay and Sam were constantly falling a dimensional portal opened up. And they fell into it. Falling through the sky. they fell through the ceiling into a dark bedroom.

Jays pov

As I fell through a random roof. I get up and look at my surroundings It's dark. And I've injured my leg. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos," someone said and I was strangled by an even darker blackness. "Agh, what is this? What's going on" I scream grabbing a random object from my back. And breaking free. "Who are you and what are you doing in my room? No one enters my room!" A very cold woman-like voice screamed. Thinking about it. I don't remember who I am. "To be honest. I don't know who I am" I said. "I don't remember anything" I continued. Then a robotic voice cut everything off and lit up the room. "I am Sam. And this is jay. Jay seems to have lost his memory while falling through the dark abyss after his apparent *death*" the robot said. I jumped back holding a pole at it. "How do you know who I am?" I screamed. "Would you quiet it down? You're giving me a headache" the girl said in a monotoned voice. "RAVIN ARE YOU OKAY I HEARD A LOUD NOISE" a voice screamed. "Yes, robin I'm fine. A person and a robot fell through my room." Ravin said. "You're going to jail" robin screams. "Hey hey, I don't even know who I am and how I got here and you just gonna chuck me into jail?" I questioned. "You seem dangerous. You could be a member of the hive. Or working with Slade" robin says coldly. "Slade sounds like a dumb name. And the hive? Are you talking about a beehive?" I said. Robin is speaking jibberish and I have no idea who the "hive" or who the "Slade" is. All I know is I fell through a roof. "Cyborg, pull this robot's memory, and for you... I don't even know your name. What is it?" Robin asked. "I don't know," I said.

Hours later

Cyborgs pov

"Seems like your name is jay. And Sam is sidekick with some cool moves" I said. The tech in this suite/robot is extremely cool and I wanna just ramble on about it. But jay doesn't know who he is and Robin told me to keep serious. This sucks. "Is he a bad person?" Robin asks. Before I answer. Beast boy and Starfire walk in. "Who is this man," Starfire asks. "Yeah, what's the deal" beast boy continues. "This man. Has fallen through raven's room and we're trying to identify him" robins says. Are these people idiots? I didn't finish what I was saying before everyone else came in. "As I was saying. Sam is a crazy piece of tech. But they're not from here. They're actually from a different dimension." I continue saying. Beast boys jaw drops "the so cool". Starfire was clapping "he's like me".  "As I was saying. Sam's memory bank shows that jay saves people from his world. He's nowhere bad. The last thing that Sam's memory bank is jay getting shot. So it leaves confusion on how he got here" I continued. "Interesting past you got there jay," robin says. I nod in agreement. Jay does have a weird past. I know more facts about him. But those have to be quiet as they're personal. And with jay not knowing his last right now. It could trigger something. "Yeah I guess so," jay says.

A few hours later
Around 9:00 pm

Jays pov

I was given a room and some tools to be able to fix up Sam. Even tho I don't quite know what I'm doing. I look at the clock and it's around 9 pm. It's late. I get out of bed and went out onto the deck and just looked at the sky. "I wish I knew who I was," I said to myself. Cyborg was able to give me details. But it doesn't ring any bells. "Nice sight isn't it," someone says. "WHAT THE F-" I screamed and turned out. "Oh, raven it's you" I sighed. And turned back around facing the city and the sky. "Yes, it's a wonderful sight. The stars the moon the sounds of the city. It's quite nice" I said. "You scared the crap out of me. beast boy told me that you're very much of an introvert and you stay in your room reading books and meditating" I continued. I believe that's what I got from him. He rambled too fast for me to catch on. "Yeah, that's normally what I do. But you falling through my ceiling kinda awoken me from that. And I worry due to you not remembering." Raven explains. "Yes, it sucks that I can't remember but it is what it is. I saved people. But I feel like something was happening there that gives me a bad feeling" I said. Raven walks up next me to and grabs the rail. Her cloak was flying with the breeze blowing. "I have the same feeling, I may not know you. But you're different from the titans in a good way" the raven said. "What do you mean?" I ask. From what cyborg told me. He said from the log he pulled from Sam. You saved the world. But with your friends by your side. Even when some of them were not the friendliest towards you. You're the type to not give up. Sadly. The titans give up especially with Slade and the hive. They give up when they run away and forget about it. Until the next time, they appear. Robin, he's obsessed with Slade. Cyborg, he's obsessed with the hive. It's a repeated system" raven said. "Even tho I don't remember my past. You're saying sometimes these little battles are one-sided?" I asked. "Yep. Everyone in the team has some sort of enemy. And a lot of times we argue and never get the plan right and we fail on our mission" raven sighs. "Anyhow jay I'll let you go. I don't mean to be bothering you" raven says walking in the other direction. "Nah you're fine. You may have tried to freeze me with your crazy magic. But it's fair as I fell through the roof and landed in your room. Which I'm sorry for. You did no harm, unlike Robin. He tried to beat me with a stick and that's not cool. Let's go for a little drive" I say. "Drive? You don't have a car" raven questions me. "I may be dumb. And have no recall on my memory. But sams a piece of decent equipment. I have some idea how to use that thing. If I recall I think it turns into a car" I say smiling. Before raven could answer a siren goes off. "TITANS GO" robin screams. I run out to the living room "jay you stay here. You're not fit for this." Robin says. Raven looks at me. Before I even could think I said, "be safe raven" she smiled at me. Beast boy noticed. And glared at me and ran off.
