52. The Return

A couple of days later

Raven pov

this morning I decided to go hang with the rest of the titans instead of locking myself in my room. As I walk out there I'm greeted by Starfire. "Good morning Raven," she said. "hi," I said back. "Wheres jay" robin said across the room. "I wouldn't know," I replied. Coming to think of it. Normally he walks in and talks to me. Haven't seen him in a couple of days. "I haven't seen him in a couple of days" I also said. "Me neither," said bb and cyborg. "Agreed," said Starfire. Then a conversation went on between everyone. Trying to figure out where jays been at. Moments later he walks out into the living room. He looks oddly different. He has a hoodie on with the hood on. Jeans. Boots. And a pair of earbuds in his ears. "I'm leaving," he said in a cold tone voice. "For the day or for good?" Cyborg asks. "For good" jay replies. Then he looks at me and continues "here Rae" he threw me one of his hoodies. "We're still connected so if you needed anything just give me a shout. Till then here's a hoodie to keep you company." Then he looks at cyborg and throws a cube at him. "You are a great friend. Helping me rebuild Sam ground up. That cube is Sam. Take care of her for me." Jay said. "She's in good hands" cyborg sniffled. "Beast boy my man" jay smirks. "We may have not been on good terms but your pretty cool you can donkey Kong someone's ass easily. I wish I had that ability. Take care of yourself man." Jay says. Then the smile fades and looks at robin. "To be straight with you. I don't like you. Always yelling and screaming. And you still manage to fail the whole team" Jay says. Everyone starts looking at robin. "Find a grove and get with it. If you can find a grove that everyone can follow you'll have more success battling your enemies. That's my advice to you. Make yourself a better person" jay says. And he starts heading towards the elevator. "Jay," I said. "Why?" I continued. "I messed up your whole team. Robin hates my guts. Beast boy doesn't like that I hang around you. Which makes sense. He's got a big old crush on you. Remember because of Sam. We're forever connected. So I'm not leaving anytime soon. Take care of yourself raven." He says and proceeds into the elevator. He turns around and gives a half smirk. "We will meet again," he says and the elevator closes

Rakan pov

"Fuck, I lost the location of jay" I screamed. This isn't good. I need him and his tech to take over San Fransokyo. Especially since I made a deal with Slade so he could take over jump city. "Very smart of you to lose his location," amrik says. "Oh shut up. I didn't allow you to speak" I screamed. "I didn't permit you to take over my mind. You failed your own mission. Sam short circuited something before you even tried to do anything." Amrik said a little too calmly. He walked away. "There's no chance you'll defeat jay. Pretty sure you pissed him off. Good luck chump" amrik walked away. I may not have amrik but I have honey lemon. Slade. Jason and myself. "Let the games begin jay" I laughed.

A month and a half later

Robins pov

It's around midnight. I figured since everyone's asleep I might as well train. Jay's words hurt. But he's brought out a good statement. I've been quite hard on the rest of the titans. Makes sense why ravens in her room 24/7. She's probably the more mature of all of us. Jay left for the sake of our and his safety. The flashbacks of his was resulting in deadly behavior. He consulted me the day before he left. I pulled out my BōStaff and start beating on the punching bag in the gym. Then I got called. It was jay. I answered it and heard a car and its engine screaming. "Robin we have a slight problem," jay says. "What is it?" I ask "Check raven's room first then get back to me," he says. I walk back up to her room. The door was cracked which was unusual. I looked inside "raven?" I said looking around. "Don't see her jay," I said. "That's the problem. I was walking the streets tonight. And I found ravens cloak just laying on the sidewalk. I believe I have her location pinpointed. I sent you my location. I'm trusting that you can help me. She also is one of your friends after all" jay said and hung up. I haven't heard from him in over a month. And with raven missing that's weird. There must be a little fling between the two. But I can't assume. "Titans" I screamed. Everyone walked out yawning. "What's the big deal it's midnight" beast boy complained. "Just received a call from jay. He found ravens cloak in the middle of the city and she's missing." I said. "Let me go grab Sam. Knowing jay, he might need it. Cyborg said. "Good idea, TITANS GO"
