Jays POV
The next morning. I lay there restless in my bed. Didn't get any sleep. I laid there numb. I've lost everything. My family. My friends. My dignity. Taco comes up to my bed and starts purring. "Well at least I got you, you're the only thing that's left"
I get up and start packing all my stuff up. And I took Gogos stuff with me. It's the only thing I have left of her. And I can't just leave it here. I continue to pack. A song comes on "as I go" by Chris Debby.
"I'll pray tomorrow but I'm sinnin' today
Heart full of nothin' with a grin on my face
I beg for somethin' that I'll never taste
But I'm still gon' chase
Take it all as I go"
I get up and load Jason up. I left the ordinary yellow trash in him. So he was my carrier. I drive around town. To take a good glance at what my home could've been like. I could've helped saved lives. But I failed and got people killed. And memories wiped. It's 6 am and the sun's starting to rise. And I drove on into the sunrise. This won't be the end. I'll be back. After what you put me through, Hiro. You've taught me some lessons. And the main one is to never give up.
I will be back.
